‘So clueless’: Linda Burney gives ‘non-answer’ when asked if she misled parliament

Indigenous Australians Minister Linda Burney - so “clueless and nervous - gave a “non-answer” when asked whether she’d misled parliament about the Voice, according to Sky News host Andrew Bolt.
“Switching the TV back on this week, I saw Indigenous Australians Minister Linda Burney, up there, repeatedly refusing to say exactly what this Voice would get up to, until yesterday blurting out in desperation this stupid claim, this fake claim,” Mr Bolt said.
Ms Burney declared during Question Time that the Voice won’t give advice on parking tickets or changing Australia Day and other “ridiculous things” when probed by the Opposition.
“Like so much that she now says, I mean, I tell you, Linda Burney is just making stuff up,” Mr Bolt said.
“Today I also saw ... Indigenous Australians Minister Burney so clueless now that she has to read word for word prepared answers in Question Time, today giving a scripted, non-answer when asked whether she'd actually misled parliament with that claim ... and she had.”

In all of the silly things I have heard your comment has to be the either the biggest bull I've heard so far or naive, "Not enough about the Native Anglo Saxon Australian's who founded and built the country". Anglo Saxon Australian's did not "founded Australia and built the country" They stole the country from its rightful owners, and built Australia we know now, with a lot of help from migrants that copped a lot of crap because of their background. I was brought up with the white colonizing stories being taught in schools and very little about what was, or had been done to Indigenous Australians by the english, colonists and successive governments. The Aboriginal people have been here 60,000 years, shaped and cultivated the land way before colonization, we should have some respect and pride, that this land - has one of the longest living cultures in the world and look at ways to improve their wellbeing and life expectancy.

It is almost like we are being asked to vote in a Referendum to suspend democracy. Didn't this happen just before WWII in Germany? The model being voted on is ill defined, vesting power to a minority. We know it is not a preamble (as we have not been asked to vote for that). Why is it being put in the Constitution? Because It would be harder to remove or change compared to legislation. We are being asked to vote for this vague (to us) model; there is a reason it is being poorly defined...

Australians came from the lowest social classes, historically. Their old ancestors were bred like sheep - any who did not accept their peasant / menial-working-class status were taken out of the gene pool. Australians need an overlord. They are incompetent at ruling. It is not in their blood. The UN, USA, England, China, and the Aboriginals are currently the ruling class.

It's bullshit, is what it is...pollies shooting Australia in the foot? More like lining the non-indigenous up against a wall!!!! It's all about a voice to Parliament (although they are well represented and even the indigenous in Parliament are saying that), rights, land ownership, paying 'rent', some things have already come into force, even before we've voted. WA (Western Australia) now has some 'cultural heritage' shite just been whacked on it being, if you own land over 1100sqm, you have to get permission and consultation to plant a tree, put a fence post in, erect a fence, put up a shed, etc, from some indigenous council or another. Anything that will disturb soil 50cm down (that's about 18 inches). It impacts farmers in particular and WA has huge farming properties in a huge State (approx 1/3 land size). Housing blocks, over time, have reduced in size but there are still older blocks around that are this size or larger. No wonder our Premier, Mark McGowan did the big bolt, blaming it all on exhaustion🤔🤔😠 Next is they want 'rent' payable for land. So, whether you own your property, want to get married, use land for whatever, you pay rent. Eg: you get married and your wedding is $50k...1%, or something like that (details haven't been finalised, or even explained to us properly), will go to the indigenous for using 'their land', this is on-top of paying for the venue and not counting the venue also being charged yearly 'rent'. Property/business owners will pay a yearly 'rent' to the indigenous for building on 'their' land, land you've already bought and paid for. This is on top of all the opportunities given to them, not mentioning the $35+ BILLION per year spent on Aboriginal 'affairs'. This is just the start, the tip of the iceberg.....watch this space. There are a lot of people angry here😠😠 You can't say anything because the good old race card is then played. We've even been called racist by our PM, if we vote 'no'!!!!!!! So yeah, it's a 'no' from me and as far as I can tell, most Australians, including a lot of indigenous. Very unpredictable times over here😒😒

Politicians rarely answer any questions. They just ramble to fill in air time. We need to include our rights in our constitution. Equal voting rights. Free speech rights. Self defence rights. Property rights. Nothing less than this, as a priority - for all citizens.

Russia used to tell their people that they were leading the world. Australia tells people that it is the lucky country. In terms of governmental services it is ruled by good people. But in terms of the everyday life out in the cities... It is so full of unpleasant people. Cities like Perth, and Sydney have so much simmering hate going on between the citizens (of different sexualities, races, religions). A tourist once said to me that he thought Australia was a friendly nation. But he saw many people with nasty expressions on their face. Australian cities are becoming as bad as English cities like Birmingham or Wolverhampton. It is like there is a silent war going on.

Will the "Voice" advise government regarding conflicts involving Australia and therefore indigenous Australians with statments such as, "We as a sovereign nation will not be taking part in that conflict". There are so many actual things that can be changed once you start tampering with the constitution, for example Torts, where will the "Voice" stand on contracts and law regarding indigenous persons. Thomas MAYO is the best example of where this is headed tear it all down and attack politicians who have hurt indigenous persons, tear down the statues, the westminister system of law, reparations, pay the rent, it goes on and on.I am voting "No" I am not racist as a result of that, I simply genuinely fear for my nation reagrding this matter and Labor in most states. Did Labor advise in their election campaign they would be taxing Superannuation, I can't recall that. The nation is in serious trouble, the parliamentary standards have dropped so low, Gallagher, Wong and Plibersek misled parliament, if they had honour they would stand down. Well, we one the first Ashes Test so that's good. Good luck to all.
