That just shows how underrated modern dual cab utes are compared to the big heavy vehicles such as the 79s, 200s and Patrols. They are light and nimble and most come with rear lockers from factory. Also, I love how Jocko is the first to get wet and muddy to recover someone, he's a great part of the team!

Most stuck I have been was in my early 20's with some rich friends in their luxury SUV coming back from a rave deep in the forest and we got totally bogged. We had to walk back to the rave location and get a stoned hippy in his little old suzuki side kick to pull us out. By the time we got out the white SUV with full leather interior was covered with mud...inside and out.....I teased them about that for years after.
Those bogs are incredible! But will be rewarded with some fishing around the corner.

Believe that’s the most stuck you guys have ever been. Thanks for the epic content!
In Norfolk UK we had a landrover 90 stuck in wet sand at a construction college, very similar to your black soil,we attempted a winch, it stopped a 12tonne winch dead, we used a kinetic rope hooked up to a series one 80inch landrover and it pulled it out in 2 attempts. Was unbelievable at the time and was the first time I had seen a kinetic rope used about 15 years ago. They have so much pulling power they band them in UK landrover clubs due to the amount of recovery points being broken!
The best show .....you guys give a good vibe 😉💯🇰🇪
That black soil reminds me of the blue gumbo mud that we have in Arkansas and Louisiana. I've had to work for days to get some out and I know of some rigs that had to have logging skidders and dozers to recover them. And one has been stuck for three years. And still there.

Howdy Oklahoma watch that wind sweeping down the plains yeah haha terrible attempt at comedy specially since I used a fricking show tune in the attempt forgive me m8.
Stuck for 18 hours in Zambia in black cotton mud, with no winches, no kinetic ropes and one high lift jack. A kinetic rope wouldn't have helped because the car behind was just as bogged! It's amazing what a whole village of people, brute force and determination can achieve though, because we had to build 5 km (3 miles) of road just to get out.
Love Jocks strong hands taking out burning hot hash browns from the oven
I have never looked forward to the next episode as I am now, well done boys looks awesome so far 👍🏻👍🏻
Epic trip. Only suggestion: throw away those alloy rings that you’re using in lieu of a proper snatch block. They do not slip freely under load, and most definitely DO NOT halve the load on the winch.
@tpv59
2 жыл бұрын
I THINK the 'double line pull' halves the load on the winch. Is this correct??? (I have Never been 4WD driving and Never driven a 4WD vehicle!!!) - Does the 'double line pull' half the load on the winch Sean? Regards.
guys you are killing me! September 23rd is too long!! i need you guys sooner! *cries in blacksoil*
Most stuck I have ever been is in wet clay next to a field. 21 tonne of 4x4 Mercedes truck and an 18 tonne drill rig. Snapped a heavy chain that hit the back of the Merc and crushed the RHS that the rear end is made from, ripped a hitch out of it and broke a 50 tonne snatch strap with a 370hp tractor.
i love this episode so much cause i actually own an 8 inch Saratoga ive been raising since it was tiny, beautiful fish
Wait there are 3 parts? Hell yeah!
Thankyou who ever suggest the chilli chicken wings challenge. That was a good 5+ minutes of laughter.
Jocko is a real legend and good talent.
Most stuck, I went too help a fella get his triton out when he tried to cross a salt flat to go fishing, long story short, 3 days no water no shade, 30 vehicles 26 of which got stuck, 8 broken winches, 15 snapped snatch straps, at least 6 broken or missing maxtrax, it was the worst most expensive 30 min run to the beach to help a bloke out I’ve ever had, but we all got out in the end

Tobasco is a Louisiana product and Franks uses Louisiana peppers- if you like those, you HAVE to find some Tony Chachere's Creole Seasoning. It's absolutely a cajun staple here in Louisiana and goes well with anything edible!! Perfect to carry to camp
most bogged? After 9 men with 2 shovels spent 4 hours digging, we lefty my 80 series in the riverbed overnight. Took a double line winch off a dump truck, one failed recovery point, and another 3 hours digging the next day to free her.
I was always wondering how this Australians get away with such heavy cars offroad ? :) it turned out that they don't when it comes to mud. I'm from Russia , and we consider a vehicle above 2.5 tonn as very heavy which can go offroad only on 36 and above tyres because we have a lot of this boggy roads. And for the bogs it's better to have below 2 tonn on 36 :) Awesome video anyway :)

I’ve got 2 questions, why do we never see jocks Hilux on any trips any more (like he’s always wheeling Graham’s d-max). My second question is why did they change the name from 4WD ACTION to 4WD 24/7
Been avoiding these videos since I sold my jeep because they were giving me wanderlust. But now I've bought a mk1 montero and am going to set it for overlanding, so I'm back for inspiration and ideas 😀
42 years ago i got stuck in the De Gray river South of Broome in an off road tour coach for seven hours despite having Marsden matting ( todays Max Trax it was used during the second world war to make temporary air fields) i dug the full length of the coach out and eventually a grader came along and was able to get me out. i was out in the black soil. SA/QLD boarder country not to far up off NSW, A solo vehicle a MUX. we where about 15 km away from the homestead. a floodplain lake was just crossing over the track. i walked it first only 4" deep i was pushing and thumping at all those little shellfish bugs swimming about. on my return walk to the car i was thinking all is ok. i suddenly disappeared to my upper legs. undie line stuff, i was stuck. it had a hold of me. and i had nothing to hold onto myself. the wife and friend enjoyed the laugh. watching me from a safe distance swim my way out. we backed up and turned the MUX around. but then a new problem. i had driven over an old salt bush stump and lost all the air out of one tyre. 10 min later and we where heading back towards the safety of our camp at the homestead.
Most bogged i've been in my hilux was a very similar scenario in black soil, got stuck at 6pm didn't get unstuck till 11am the following day, tried double winching, snathcing with 4 cars as it was super slippery, the rain was relentless, gave up when my mates front diff blew and a winch gave way. I wouldn't recommend tackling this sort of stuff if you have 40mm of rain coming over night.

Kangaroo jacks, an axe to cut down some trees to shove under the tires and pushing the 4wd as it gunned out of the bog. Trips like that stick on your memory for a life time.
Graham, you should know better, A double line pull doesn’t dramatically increase the amount that the winch can handle. What the winch can handle is constant. The double line pull doubles the amount of pull the winch delivers because of the doubling of the mechanical advantage, not what it can handle. But, everyone will just listen and digest without thinking. Betcha!! Wooooooooo!!!! Frothing’!!!!!
