A very smart looking pistol. I prefer these designs that don't attempt to mimic conventional firearms.

I bought one of these items on ebay because it reminded me of my father's Walther LP53. It turned out to be surprisingly solid and accurate. This review has been very helpful and is consistent with my experiences with this gun. Thank you for posting this video!

Most likely the SP500 was modeled after a German Match Grade Pistol, by design. I was also very impressed with the SP500, it was much more refined than my S2.

I heard that Diana Started manufacturing their budget guns in China so they might be rebranding this one as a Diana, there is one SP500 for under 50 bucks but I'm hesitant to buy it, I wanna know if It's worth searching for and adding the money to get Diana p-five instead

Try it out … Diana is still a great company , but they are making budget guns now that are basically the same as the off brand offerings of the same model . It’s just like Beeman and Weirhwach ( I’m sure I misspelled that ) : Same awesome gun ( P3 and P17 ) just different branding and assembly plants ; but all the parts are the same

The SnowPeak SP500 is based on an earlier Chinese S2 design. S2's did not have a trigger safety, where the SP500 has one built into the trigger.

Had major accuracy problems from the factory. I removed the grips and the screw that holds the barrel to the action was loose from the factory. Took me a long time to figure this out.. After tightensing the gun was very accurate. Might as well adjust the trigger while the grips are off. You can fix the horrible trigger pull. It is a real pleasure to shoot now. Hope this helps.

The Diana P-Five and the SnowPeak SP500 look identical, from the pictures I found on the Internet. I found the SnowPeak SP500 to be of good quality, fit and finish wise.

Cheap ,works well, better power and accuracy than a replica bb gun. I own this snow peak its cool. ❤

At 350fps, it is basically a target and plinking air pistol. I don't think it has enough velocity to break a window.

why is the quality 360p in 2022/2023 ?

How about providing chronograph data for various pellet weights?

I am not a big fan of doing chonographs, there are plenty of other air gun channels that provide this data.

It looks like the front site is press-fit to the barrel. You would most likely have to cut the current one off, in order to replace.

The sights are horrible. Gun wants to shoot high even with the sight set on the lowest setting. Trigger pull is horrible. I did take off grips and adjust to 3 pounds pull. Nice to shoot now. They are claiming this is powerfull. It's weak. It will not even go through 1 side of a empty soup can. Have shot several ground squirrels and they jump into the air and run away at 15 feet. Was going to send it back and wish I had. Buyer beware.

My rule of thumb is that you want an air gun capable of at least 1000 FPS, for the purpose of hunting. The SnowPeak does not meet this criteria.
