(242) The SnowPeak SP500 .22 Cal Air Pistol

My knife orders haven't arrived, but I did get in a .22 Air pistol from Ebay. My main purpose for it is indoor target practice, and outdoor plinking. It only develops 350 feet per second, so it's no powerhouse, but it also is not a toy. With a .177 air rifle I have hunted squirrels, rabbits, & birds in the past. Nowadays I like to watch birds & squirrels. Lately, the only hunting I do is for parking spaces at the grocery store. 😄

Just got around to watching this video. Pellet guns in your house are fun. In our last house I used to shoot real guns when my wife was out of town.lol Had a good twenty five feet in the basement I could use for a range. Plenty of room. I shot everything from 22lr to 44 magnum and 12 gauge shotgun. So much fun back in the day.

Had several air guns growing up. Great memories, lots of fun. An air rifle and a four wheeler were some of the best things my parents could have ever given me, I was always outside lol. Thanks William!

Thank you Michael. Now that I'm retired, I have plenty of time to go back to the things I enjoyed growing up. I had a Daisy lever cock BB gun when I was a kid. Lots of fun.

Cool air pistol William, they're a good bit of fun. I used to have a Theoben Rapid 7 rifle in .22 for small game hunting. One of my sons is joining a shooting range in the near future. Take care and have fun.

for accracy i like the .177. i haven't tried the 22 air pistol on small game. this one seems suited to mouse, or bird category.

For the money it's a nice one, for me it hasn't enough power. I like a bit more kick I had a .177 rifle and pistol and a .22 rifle and they had a bit more power. For target practice it will survice, oh a bit wite nailpolish also will hold on the visor. Over here I can keep an air rifle and shoot it on my own terrain, so no bothers there. I mostly used the pellets with the pointy head for penetration, there are also steel darts for them but they'll ruin your barrel. Nice one William thanks friend.

Thank you Jeroen. Yes, the rifles are much more powerful than the pistols. I have pointed pellets for .177 but couldn't find any at Wallyworld in .22. I might clean up my closet & make it my indoor shooting range. 😃

Finally figured out the sp500 comes apart. I took out all the screws but it didn't come apart. With no manuel I simply took off the hand grip after removing the 2 screws in grip. Kind of easy with small screw driver. Just pops off. The is the final screw to split it in half. The trigger adjustment is a round silver screw. Unscrewing lightens it and screwing in makes it harder. Out of the box it was almost all the way in. Was able to adjust to 3.5 pound pull. Now I am happy 100% with this air pistol. It was my only complaint heavy trigger. Hope th

Hello William. I had a pistol and rifle when i was young but of course they have now become a banned item deemed far to dangerous, and are limited to adults with a permit.

Thank you Rhino. When I was stationed in England, I saw how restrictive they were on anything even resembling a weapon. If you somehow managed to go through all the paperwork for a pistol, you couldn't keep it at your home. It had to be kept at a gun club where only then could you fire it. Australia, right before their gun ban required the firearm to be disassembled & ammunition stored separately.
