Really enjoyed the video. I was 2 and lived in Leeds. There was thick snow, which brought all the gutters crashing down. There was a lot of darkness and fog. We cried with the cold. My dad had to burn furniture to keep us warm. They tried to get trains through by using flame throwers, but it twisted the tracks. At Easter, we moved South - we had had enough - and the Sun came out as we passed Doncaster on the train.

There was terrible snowfall in the Scottish Borders. Videos of trains being dug out of huge drifts can be found on KZread.
