    Your channel may be small, but it's been so helpful for me trying to find the right equipment for myself. I'd just rented before and it was intimidating looking through all the options out there when I was ready to get my own gear, but you've helped make it much easier to find the right stuff for me.

    Just based solely on your camber video, and the little plastic boards you had on the table, it explained so much more than any of the other videos I’ve watched. You’re doing solid work brother, you gained a sub, for what it’s worth.

    Hi, I am looking to buy some new bindings. I've done some research and determined that Union bindings would be a good fit for my budget, and riding style. The issue/concern is determining weather a mini disk or regular disk would be better. I haven't found much information regarding snowboard disk size. Is there really any difference? I am a somewhat new/intermediate rider, any advise would be appreciated.

  • @SearchofSnowboarding

    @SearchofSnowboarding

    10 ай бұрын

    Yeah I can help for sure. The disk size is not relative to ability level, but rather desired feel from the binding. The mini disk will give you a little more play under the baseplate of the binding, giving a surfier feel. The regular disk will be just like any other binding and feel more solid underfoot.

    Hey man, thanks for the video. Im planning on buying a new board for the next season. I thought of the nitro team 2023 in comination with the nitro team bindings 2023. The board is mostly for the slopes and also for powder/off piste in general. I would sag that Im quite a good boarder, not like super good but solid. What do you think of the Board and binding or do you have some different suggestions (especially for the binding)?

  • @SearchofSnowboarding

    @SearchofSnowboarding

    Жыл бұрын

    Sweet! The Nitro Team is a great board to do it all, though it won't ride powder as easy as some other All Mountain boards. Nitro bindings are fine, but I've seen people have some issues with them, like breaking components and not being able to find replacement parts. I would maybe steer towards something like the Union Atlas. That would be a great pair with the Nitro Team, you could also check out Burton Malavitas

    Hey thanks for your work ! I saw your video on the step on X bindings, i am not sure that X version is necessary for the begginer i am but i really want the step on model, carbon fiber is big plus it should be unbreakable and really lighter isnt it ? also im lost into boards, i see many boards in second hand like burton fort 70$ I really want to put the price into good bindings and boots, but for the board, im not sure if a good board like the DOA would be too much or just perfect to me for learning on good materials I learned on a 163 rental board im interested into a 159W model, i want something handy, manageable, i am 192 cm and 85kg ( 6.3" and 187 pounds ? ) Thanks a lot by advance, i love your content !

  • @SearchofSnowboarding

    @SearchofSnowboarding

    2 жыл бұрын

    The Step On X is not too much lighter than the regular Step On binding and carbon fiber does not mean unbreakable. In the cold carbon fiber can actually be more fragile. As a beginner, save the money and just get the regular Step On bindings. The biggest thing to keep in mind with second hand boards is that they are usually older. The newer technology in new boards can make them easier to ride like on the DOA. Thanks, hope that helps!

    Hey there, I have this years atlas and thinking of getting the pro. I have a Capita Mercury and a super doa. I usually do all mountain riding and barely any park. Usually jumps and side hits. Worth the upgrade to getting the pros or keeping the regular atlas? Thanks and cheers!

  • @SearchofSnowboarding

    @SearchofSnowboarding

    Жыл бұрын

    It's really a question of how you prefer your bindings. The Pros are quite stiffer than the regular Atlas, so if you want a step up in an aggressive ride with a stiffer binding go for the pro. I was having the same decision this year, and I stuck with the regular Atlas because I felt I didn't need much stiffer
