Great content! Driveways look open for the most part. We do commercial mostly but still have 50+ driveways. Our f250 is almost too big for most of our driveways
When is season 2
Season 2 was canceled due to his dodge blew up.
next year I want to buy myself a vblade, but ya that takes $$$ and as per the norm I am short of cash...the life of a plow owner I also just got my first 3/4 ton truck on the road. 05 GMC sierra 2500 hd. Love it so far, just need the heat to start working right.Anyways nice vid guys see ya on the next vid
@SnowMenShow

Thanks for watching. Be patient & save and you will have that vblade in no time.

It will don’t you worry about that! Be safe and make a pile of cash goodluck!
After you take damage like that ya feel like you didn’t make any money today
We had some last week, I want to start putting up some footage but I can’t make time to film, due to the fact that I can’t seem to find a Guy I can count on to operate my other truck. They want money but don’t want to work you know? Anyhow keep up the good work, big fan from Bowmanville Ontario.
Out of respect I always call my plow guy if I do it myself. Or if the number of trucks in the yard changes. Or my work times. So he can make adjustments
You guys ever thought about putting the hide a ways on a switch (if not already) so you don't get flash back at night off the plow?
@codyconquest6761

Thats the main reason I dont like those hide a ways. Hate seeing them flash back

discovery outta pick this up. what do you use to edit. im trying to figure out davinci resolve free version. every time i record something its the wrong format.
@SnowMenShow
6 жыл бұрын
We use Edius Professional to edit Snowmen. Davinci is a nice program but the free version does limit the formats you can edit. If you are interested in professional video production you will want to stay tuned for the final episode of Season 1. It will be a behind the scenes look at how Snow Men is produced.
I was getting worried no more episodes were coming. I enjoy watching your channel. I've driven plow trucks for a car auction here on Long Island and I've been trying to save to buy my own truck to go after accounts. My question to you is....these trucks you're using for plowing; are they your personal daily driver vehicles or are they specific work trucks? What is your opinion on utilizing a personal daily driver for plowing?
@SnowMenShow
6 жыл бұрын
Plenty more episodes on the way! Thank you for watching. Our trucks are our daily drivers. Of course if you have the money to have multiple vehicles sitting around it is always a good idea. It gives you more options if something breaks.

Snow Men Thank you for the quick response. I'll cross that bridge when I get there. Good luck and drive safe fellas. Looking forward to more episodes.
Sounds like an exhaust header gasket leak on the ford. Burns a bit more fuel. Just had mine done last season. Gas mileage improved dramatically.

Hi Ryan is snow plowing your only job you or do you plow part time and have a regular full fob?
@SnowMenShow

In the winter all I do is snow plowing. During the warm weather I remodel houses.
Is your truck lifted? If so how many inches.
@SnowMenShow
5 жыл бұрын
No it is not lifted. Though the truck does have airbag suspension in the front that is inflated when the plow is on to keep the truck from sagging too much.

How much did it cost for all the lights and the plow on the ford?
@codyconquest6761

Will LaCombe for his setup I’d guess around $6-8k. I have a western straight blade I picked up for just under 5

The plow (Boss 8'2" VXT Steel) cost $6,500 and i spent a couple hundred on lights. You can find the 8'2" VXT used for about $4,000 -Ryan
TIM was hitting that pile a little hard at the end there. He will get better once the BOSS (RYAN) isn't watching...LOL Damn i have to get busy and put some videos up.... Have fun guys maybe see ya in the snow somewheres. -John

Dont you beat the h*** outta the front end when stacking like that? Always hear about plowin with trucks is dead hard on ball joints, steering etc. Here in sweden no one plows with pickup trucks or skid steers, only biggest possible trucks and wheelloaders! your way is more heavy metal! 🤘

Just rebuilt the front end on my Ford after plowing for 9 years. I would say that's not too bad. I have never had to replace anything on the front end since I bought the truck used.

@@SnowMenShow maybe time too concider abandoning chevy, every front end they've built since 1988 are junk! Had a 2007 2500 hd in the shop last week, rebuilt front end last spring, done about 8k miles since with some 315s on offset wheels, everything is shot again!

@@nissenorell7344 I was going to buy a Chevy when I first started plowing but every landscaper and plow guy that i talked to told me the same thing, that Chevys front ends don't hold up to the abuse of plowing. The majority of them said go with Ford. I am glad i listened. I am very happy with how the ford front end has held up to the abuse of plowing.
