This is really incredible! The amount of fish and variety of fish. I think I went to the wrong resort last year when I was in the Maldives. I didn't see anything near this. Great job!

No, you just went there are after the 2016-2017 El Nino which devastated the corals around the Indian Ocean. Around 90% of corals died, so what you probably saw was a graveyard of what it used to be. Unfortunately, given how things are going with the constant warming of the oceans, it might never recover. Btw we had El Nino this year too, so there was another bleaching of whatever was survived and recovered from 7 years ago.

How long ago was this ? I wonder if the coral reefs are still as nice as you are showing. I heard the was a lot of damage to Maldives reefs last few years.

Hi! I was on the Island just a few days ago, and the very long wide reef is looking almost the Same amazing. But the reef on the other calm side is sadly still very grey. BUT its also getting better. We saw many New corals coming there. I love it there.
