Took your advice and tried this beach. Beautiful beach in general. Road in was gnarly but doable in a Dodge Caravan as long as you take it slow. Many turtles here after noon. Water was extremely murky on the north side reef but crystal clear on the South side. Tons of fish along that southern reef wall as well (even more than kahalu'u). Best part was we had the entire reef to ourselves! A true gem. Thanks for this!

Absolutely love the aerial footage! So helpful

The recommended distance from the endangered Hawaiian Monk Seal is about 50 feet. Most people don't seem to respect this. I've seen many people almost touch the monk seals, and I had to tell park service, which didn't do much to help with this growing problem.

Nice video of the beach. We’re planning on visiting the following week. Renting a car with higher access, but it will still be risky. 🤞

hi, awesome beach question to ask, which beach or bay is the best one to spots dolphins to avoid taking boat tours and trying to do on my own to save money and see dolphins? please advise when you get the chance, thanks a lot

Not typically, but I’ve heard of incidents too. They are truly massive and would be able to do whatever they wished if they wanted. Best to stay safe and lawful 👍

Usually when they are on the beach, they are trying to rest. Imagine someone bothering you, hovering and taking pictures right above you. Poor monk seals. Humans don't realize the immense stress they are causing these endangered wildlife.
