    Joe Davis made 6 century breaks in this 1946 World Championship final in London. 104, 133, 136, 107, 122 and 116. He then retired from Championship play. It was a pity really, as his absence devalued the Championship for the next 10 or so years. Him and Fred could have had many more great matches but probably the truth is Joe wanted to retire unbeaten and Fred, by 12 years his junior, was getting a bit good!

    ​@@cooperfeldThat's a bit unfair. It wouldn't take them 80 odd years to play 145 frames. That's like only 2 frames a year.
