Snippets from My Desk: I cannot properly talk about books. Can a pen feel like home? Broken Finger.
In this episode of Snippets from My Desk, I am logging the book I read last week, and talk about the books on my TBR shelf. Then I pat myself on the shoulder for using my washi, share a new pen, and go off the deep end talking about why one pen feels like home while another doesn't. Then I rehash my week and check out some ephemera that my friend Shauna sent. I close with my parenting strategy - totally off-topic, but this is how it is with these videos.

In my old-lady opinion, you handled your son's situation perfectly. Sets him up for success. Sorry to hear about his finger. Nuts that he had no pain.
“I care, but also I don’t” 😂 that’s a mood. I also appreciate how you let your son try to fight his own battles. I don’t have kids, but I agree that they learn by doing. That teacher seemed kind of rude the first time they said too bad. Thanks for keeping me company for a bit while I work!

Oh also regarding the book talk, I don’t know if “suspense” was what you meant, but that’s the word that kept coming to my mind. And someone already mentioned toned ghost writer as the author who writes for people who don’t write!

I have had a Rabenmutter moment with my son, too. He broke his fist during Fasching celebrations. It got swollen and went down a week later .My Mum, the nurse, was visiting and ordered me to take him to the doctor. Yep, it was broken. The doctor said I should have come in immediately and they would have operated.😮 I understand your feelings, Simone. I hope your son's finger heals. Good luck on his final exams. Thanks! My son saw a doctor last Friday and they actually said that it is healing ok, no surgery needed and that he should remove the brace so his fingers wouldn't get stiff. So he is using his hand in "Schonungs-Mode" and not climbing.

I only have the perspective as a daughter. But I think it's really cool that you are enabling your children to fight their own fights. By that you are helping them getting independent and making their own decisions as well as experiences. I love your very long videos ;)

I removed the internal stopper for my 823 and now I love it much more! Agree that it and my LAMY 2000 are my favorite pens. They both just work and write well.

I also bounce back from bad things quite quickly. It annoys my sister that I am able to do this! The grocery stickers were a little joke as I know from discord that grocery shopping is not your fave thing. Maybe it will serve the purpose when you want to write about how you don't enjoy it? I am not great at happy mail! I can't believe that social studies teacher said that! I wish I could stop fighting my son's battles, but he barely speaks when he leaves the house. He finally asked a teacher for help on something for the first time and he is in his second year of Uni! It is an autism thing. I hope they are able to help with the finger.

That's how I feel about the Violet Blackberry.
I got the same pen from FB Marketplace for a good deal and it’s one of my best writers. I would really like to get a TN Passport setup and have the be my pen for that.

It's definitely a Stalogy notebook. But I'm not sure about the size ... probably B6 size :)
