This is a reminder to any ARMY watching this....Don't go to airport and don't follow the guys if they visit your country, they really need to stay safe and a mob will never be a safe space. They are celebrities but they are human first, respect their private time.

Because of how frequently BTS are recognised and how easily their safety can be compromised, many armys have a rule that if we see them in public, we just pretend not to know them. Don't go to the airport, don't follow them around, don't wait outside their hotels, don't go to places they normally go to, don't film them or bother them or make them feel unsafe. Jungkook had to change which boxing gym he went to after he showed his boxing on live and fans figured out where it was. Some member of staff in the South Korean Railway was tracking Namjoon through his railcard. It's very scary for them. They already make such an effort to meet with fans as often as they can, it's best to only interact with them through concerts, livestreams and in-person events organised by them like fanmeetings. They give us so much, let's show that we respect their comfort and their privacy. I think the only truly safe and comfortable way to interact with them during their downtime is through things like leaving notes, which some fans do if BTS come to a restaurant they work at etc.

@@ajlee2168 except there is at least one instance where the "purple ribbon project" line was broken - not only by the fans behind them but also by the people holding it. Some people are too caught up in themselves to notice what they are actually doing and that they are also a danger not only to themselves but to BTS, their team, other fans and accidently involved people - like at the airport.

EXO themselves only bother me a bit bc they’ve never acknowledged the hate their fans spread towards BTS, almost ruining their careers. They also have, on occasion, worn some nasty expressions when BTS are mentioned in front of them. One of their ex-members has also acted super bitter towards BTS on camera. Now as for their fans, forget about it. I will NEVER associate with one of them. To this day, they pretend the shit they pulled on BTS never happened. EXO as an artist can’t keep up with BTS anymore, so their fandom can’t use achievements to drag BTS anymore. Instead, they are STILL online constantly hating on BTS for the dumbest shit (they love to try and accuse BTS of copying EXO over things like military enlistment pictures, it’s ridiculous) just so genuinely pathetic. Their behavior is what brought upon the downfall of their group and they still haven’t learned. It’s just “BTS BTS BTS” on their minds all the time. Anyways, karma is a bitch. As someone who was present in the army fandom when shit went down, I don’t feel bad whatsoever disliking EXO.

Personally I will point out that if you talk about "the dark side of K-pop" you are most likely to talk about SM - which is why it is certainly intersting to watch the label crumble and loosing artists and workers - up to 80 people a month is a lot. They are also known for micromanaging their artists. I'm not saying that member wasn't feeling insulted by BTS becoming more successfull than Exo - but there are also members that are friends: for example Jimin is friends with at least 2 of them I'm under the suspicion that Kai from Exo at least at some point was told he is not allowed to smile in public. Exo is also crumbling.

I saw the 7 hour BTS run divided into 3 days, finishing rn, and I'm here cause I need more.

i wouldn't say exo themselves are bad people. One of the guys used to be Jimin's friend (I said 'used to be' because we don't really see him and jimin interacting anymore, since like 2018? idk..) and I think tae and one of the guys used to be buddies too. They don't seem like bad people but it also feels like they never really acknowledge the success of BTS or what they've done for Kpop as a whole. For example, their company SM created a super group called 'Super M' and they did heavy publicity for them in America. they even went to ellen, and BTS was really big at the time, however, it's like to them BTS doesn't exist. They purposely avoid talking about BTS. And their company would heavily publicise that they were realllllyyyyy popular , that they were wayyy above BTS's popularity. Even when introducing them, their publicists would be like 'The greatest kpop group to ever exist' bla bla bla. Also BTS released 'Boy with luv' that year which is where they all wear pink outfits and have colourful sets, and at a first glance it can seem feminine to some people. Boy with luv was commercial success. BTS reeallly became popular that year (2019). Later that year SM debuted this group SuperM, with the song 'Jopping' which is like the complete opposite of Boy with luv. They all wore dark, hardcore outfits, looked very masculine, and sang a powerful song about 'Jopping'. It wasn't necessarily bad or wrong, but then they kept saying on interviews about how they wanted to show a 'cooler, masculine' side of Kpop (in American interviews, where so far only BTS had attended and were widely known). It rubbed a lot of fans the wrong way cuz it felt like they were mocking BTS for doing a song like Boy with luv, looking down on them cuz they seemed too 'feminine', and indirectly were telling the American interviewers that they were cooler than BTS and more masculine than them. I assume SM thought america wanted to see somewhat manly, hardcore stuff and not something like BTS. I have no complaints or grudges against any exo members, I think some of their songs are good like 'monster' 'Kokobop', etc. but I just feel very uncomfortable knowing that they never acknowledged what BTS has done for the Kpop community and how they avoid bringing up BTS and just don't recognize them overall. And then there are their fans, exols. Exols are by far the worst fandom I've ever come across as an Army. I think, even if in the future, if Exo ever acknowledge BTS and give them their flowers, I would never be able to respect them or stan them because of the amount of damage and trauma Exols have caused our fandom.

I agree, and the group was fine with them until they became really popular and successful it seems. Whenever they got awards they looked bitter and stuff idk. I'm not even gonna talk about their fandom and the things they did to bring Tannies down💀

Well, the exo-l is the fandom that made an insult the most about BTS's enlistment. Their idol - Kai, who kept filing for the postponement many times, cried because he wasn't able to file for a postponement anymore 😂.

I would also like to add from what I see is that their company SM Entertainment doesn’t want to acknowledge nor let their idols acknowledge BTS’s success. Like sure I don’t know how exo members feel personally towards the members but I sure know that SM doesn’t like that, that why I think their idols are not able to acknowledge BTS freely.

@@nvncy.j All of the streaming platforms save after the stream the difference is that on twitch they save for 1 month and the parts that are copyrighted in the stream get muted in the reply, on kick they save it for 2 weeks and nothing get muted even if it’s copyrighted, on KZread it get saved forever but there’s possibly that they delete the stream if there’s something blocked and they can also block the stream even during live streaming. In my opinion the best one is kick because I’ve seen people struggle to react on KZread live and they can’t react to whatever they wish for because it get blocked and twitch it get muted so it suck for people when they watch it in the reply but on kick I’ve seen people react to whatever they want and they don’t have to worry about copyright the only problem is that it only save the streams for 2 weeks but he can re-uploaded on his Patreon or something to keep it saved forever.

HOWEVER, anyone would be lying if they said EXO don't make good music. They really have some bangers, and their vocals are quite good. So I'll definitely tune in if you wanna check out some of their songs.

As for Jin holding up the award in the airport, back then BTS was very active on twitter and liked to lurk to see what ARMYs were up to (according to RM) so they did see the tweets. About the EXO stuff, you'll see which members are ok and which are kinda hmmmm as you go through BTS's history and variety shows. As for EXO's fandom, well they were voted the worse fandom for several years during EXO's popular times by all the other kpop fandoms due to their rude behavior towards artists (including EXO members), and other fandoms, and their own fandom members. They would turn off their lightsticks to create a black ocean (no lights and no fans visible in the audience) when other groups performed. They would yell and curse at artist to get off the stage. And they hit people in other fandoms. The Korean members of their fandom call their international fans roaches (which is very common from Korean members of kpop group fandoms but not ARMYs). There were plenty of times International ARMYs sent messages of encouragement to the twitter accounts of the Korean ARMYs that were bullied at events and they would let ARMY translators know what they wanted them to translate for us to know. The ARMY translators on twitter keep us up to date about what's going on in Korea and other countries as BTS goes there.

What did they watch in "In the Soop 2"? The summer Olypics and Korean athlets. One is a female Korean archer that did win more than one gold medal. And that live at 25 minutes - i think there was trouble because the person behind the camera was trying to help a "friend"/"relative" with their bakery and brought food as advertisment - that the members didn't like. That went *very* well over with Army./s I think at that time Jin and Namjoon had apartments in the same housing complex/skyscraper and Jin may have gifted an aprtment there to his parents. But I guess the fathers bonded over their children and how they helped them especially in the beginning or as I think about that time: parent of member: my son is going on his own in the world/I'm loosing them 😥 Parent soon after: Nevermind! i got 6 more sons that need me! 👍 I don't want them to see me - the likeliest reason for noticing me would be that i did something wrong after all.
