"SNAZZ" - Jesse Sieff
Музыка
**SHEET MUSIC AVAILABLE HERE: sieffmusic.com/music-store-1/s...
Composed with the natural spirit of jazz in mind, this snare solo playfully mirrors the virtuosic jazz piano line of Aaron Goldberg's "Oam'S Blues". Based upon a refined technique of improvisation, the solo intricately combines traditional and hybrid rudiments in a non-traditional context. Please share, comment, and enjoy.

"Oam's Blues" was used as a demo audio track for Windows Media player in 2007. For the sake of time and logistics, a transitional cut was made during the drum solo.

Word brother.
Shoutout to Windows Vista sample music. Saw Goldberg live a while back; spectacular interpretation of a spectacular pianist.
Nice! Love the interp in a fresh approach. America's music with a touch of rudimental drumming. Who says you have to be rigid when playing chop oriented snare drum music? Nice job and thanks for posting.

Jesse Sieff oh of course, that always comes first. Either way, was very excited to see the updates recently on the filming, and to hear from my friend this past weekend that it was complete and would be out soon (I wasn't able to go, but he met you at the Texas state fair)

consistent rod tension across the bottom head with on-the-looser side guts. sounds like a medium tension on the top head

Why traditional grip for the type of snare drum he is playing? Match would make more sense and sound better.
@professoralexburnerofstone

Stephen Smith he’s playing a marching snare, so traditional grip is the standard with these drums. It goes to down a deep tradition from sling drums to why we use traditional, but mainly now a days it looks more pleasing and allows for greater creativity in stick tricks(which he shows many examples of in this video)

At this point, he has mastered traditional and his hands have gotten to the point where they sound pretty much the same, match definitely would help sound quality for beginners to intermediate players though.
wtf did i just listen to
Virtually the same rudiments...every solo...try and do something else....thanks
