@@applejacks971 Many skeptics believe the Bible references the earth as being flat because it refers to the 4 corners of the earth. There is a 3D animation that shows what the Bible meant when it refers to the 4 corners of the earth. *Even a sphere can be split into 4 corners.*

I am from Costa Rica and I can confirm
Thanks to this video, I was prepared and confident when recovering my mate a couple of days ago, whose car was about to be swallowed by the ocean. I had all the gear needed, and rescued him safely on the first attempt. Thanks Ronny 🙂
I can't tell you how great it is to see someone who really knows what he's on about in this area. This is exactly how I was taught to do snatch strap recovery. The amount of gung ho cowboys out there doing everything so wrong and dangerously is scary... Not using recovery dampers with bystanders standing right beside the vehicles or between them, using tow balls, not using bow shackles, just using makeshift tow ropes with no elasticity, etc...
The two dampers is such a great idea and makes so much sense. More people need to see this video
Mate thanks for making these videos. It only takes a tip or two and many problems can be avoided.
love your work Ronny and Brian
Good job! I recommend your videos to people that I go wheeling with. I can see that from your knowledge they are more effective and safe. Cheers from Oregon
Best off road channel on KZread hands down!
Excellent video, particularly the way that you explain why you are doing things in a certain way.
Absolutely fantastic demonstration! Learned a few solid tips here and you have another subscriber! Keep up the great work, thank you!
Great demonstraion! I'm using tow strap from Miolle and i definitely recommend this one. I pulled a guy's truck, trailer and boat out of the water because he didn't have 4wd and no problem with the towstraps , very durable and easy hook up.
A great video, remember Safety is paramount in these situations, I am very pleased you mentioned not placing a snatch strap over the Tow ball, the amount of people who still do not know this is staggering, might pay to mention the SWL for the D Shackles being 4.6t, very informative and easy to follow...now subscribed.
Great video! Definitely investing in some Snatch straps. I was stuck in some sticky mud and let someone else attach a regular tow strap to my truck. And they hooked it up all wrong and almost pulled off my bumper. Which my recovery points were attached to the bumper bracket. A snatch strap would have helped a lot more. And better recovery points which I'm going to fab up soon. And I have a new rule, only I attach straps to my truck. Keep up the great videos, they are quite helpful!
Thank you for all of these videos. I am new to four-wheeling (I got a Jeep Rubicon after years of driving sports cars), and there's a bit of a learning curve. Learning how to properly use a snatch strap was one of my questions. The snatch strap was one of the first bits of kit I purchased after getting the Jeep, and while I don't do much serious off-road driving myself (yet), I expect I'll need my strap and shackles to help other motorists this winter here in northern Canada. Great videos. Very educational. Thank you for sharing your valuable experience.

Love your vids Ronny - very informative
You got my sub Ronny. I've been off road-ing as long as I've been driving (25 years) and I thought I knew it all. Never knew about strap dampers... what a great tool. If the strap or other piece does fail.. these will help direct them to the ground quickly... awesome! Getting some. Everything else is spot on and the way I've been doing it. Nice Cruiser btw. TOYOTA!!
Always the best source of information. 🙏🙏🙏
Very informative, direct to the point....I learned a lot... Thanks
Kicking it ol school. Good brush up. Thanks Ronny.

Thank you for the information I learned some things I pulled a Wrangler out of the snow the other day with a strap I have with my F150 because I got stuck a few times with my Jeeps when I was younger I really need to know about safety and your video was helpful I subbed to learn and prepare more!
Thanks for the video.
Wow great video. Who would of thought so much goes into this.

Great stuff 👍
Great vid! thanks!
Thanks again Ronny
Finally a video that supported my logical thinking. It made absolutely no sense to me whatsoever how so many people only use one dampener. Especially in the middle without determining whose recovery point is going to be the weakest.
Keep going mate,good video
hey mate you have some of the best 4wd vids on youtube.
Thanks. Quite a bit more technique to recovery than I thought.
Finally someone does it correctly. Well done...
this is awesome info. thanks so much very clean and clear. so you would recommend at least having 2 straps just in case you over use one in a situation?
Great video. Thank you from the Seaside Oregon, on the sand🏁🏁👍😊.
Great video mate. Didn’t know that about the 3 pulls and the strap getting fatigued. Makes sense though
Another great video keep them coming

Thanks you for info
A little late finding this but excellent video, subscribed ! Hope you don't mind me linking it to a group that needs the info badly.
Thank you Ronny for your great videos. Can you provide some info on the bridle rope shown?
Great video.😋
Thank you very good video thats what I like to see common sense put to work 👍😉
Nice controlled recovery!
great video. I think you should use 2 dapeners also. Only other thing I can think is to tell people not to use a chain especially to jerk.
Great video, MATE ! I'd like the return of the old-fashioned crank-handle for starting, especially off-road. Why? An automatic with a flat battery could be started. Also, when a manual has a flat battery stuck in soft sand or on a boulder field, it'd be very difficult or or even impossible to push-start it. In low-ratio, it can also be used to hand-winch inch by inch, when a very delicate manoeuvre is required. My main off-road experience was gained driving a Russian military jeep - GAZ 69, in Ethiopia, especially in the Danakil Desert, where there are grotesque lava fields, dunes, salt marsh, boulder fields, deep erosion fissures, you name it, all with temps up to 50 degrees and at down to 180m below sea level. This desert was a notorious leaf-spring-and-half-shaft breaker for the Land Rovers of the time - 1976.
Great video, if you have RV will you need an upgrade recovery point or can you use factory?
Hey Ronny your videos are awesome i have a question about your nitto trail grapplers I watched you video on it but how many ks do you have on them before buying new ones?
Great info, does it change in cold climate, snow?
Awesome stuff Ronny! May I ask when you demo how to connect two recovery point at the front of the Jeep, 1) how long should the strap bee? 2)what kind of strap should I use? Cheers mate!
Great demo, thanks Ronny. What is that rig that your front antenna is on? Looks pretty serious.
Good video. One thing I learned in Rope Rescue SAR, however, is that a running rope abrading on another rope or strap is not permissible as it can potentially saw through by friction. Instead of running that rope through the tow strap loop directly I would put a shackle or something in between. Then you don’t have fabric on fabric friction.
What is a good company to buy rated recovery points from? I have an 06 Tacoma. Where is a good place to mount them without a skid plate getting in the way?
this is so much better than the tjm video
Thank for the video. I have been unsuccessful finding a bridle. Any suggestions?
Spot on lad.
Hi Ronny great videos could you please explain why the recovery vehicle is in 1st low and the vehicle getting recovered is in 2nd low. I watch a video just before and they said the other way around. Thanks Keep up the helpful videos
@liberty9348
4 жыл бұрын
It's because towing vehicle HAS traction so 1st low will give the most PULL. Stuck vehicle in 2nd low because you want to "help" itself out and put less stress on the recovery vehicle. 1 low will just spin the tires and keep her stuck, counter productive.
You should do a video on how to use a snatch block and different techniques. I've heard reverse pulls and sideways pulls and so on.
Excellent like to see a deatil video about the SUV you have
Thanks for that mate.👍

Hi Ronny. There are fewer videos on YT about using winch rope dampeners. What is your opinion and could you make a video on the correct use or a test if they are really useful in combination with a synthetic rope on a winch. Thanks in advance.
great presentation,,,,i think,,,,,couldnt understand a word he said,,,,but i followed along with the action

LOL....yeah gotta get used to that thick accent.
On ya mate 👍
I do use different towing way that would not load much weight on the transmission and differential shift gears. This way is to tie up the strap in both cars. Then back up closer to the stuck car so you can have enough strap lengthy tow. The last step is to hit the gas pedal on a good speed that could tow out the stuck car. Before the strap is getting tighten, take out you foot from the pedal so there will be no much load on the gears. I hope that is good for off roaders
Thx Ronny..

Ronny Dahl thanks mate keep up the vids love them
I have seen many people suggest just using the pin but nobody has mentioned that you should really get a grinder out and chamfer the edges of the receiver and polish it up a bit so there will be less likelihood of the strap being cut.
Merci!
فيديو ممتاز يوضح طريقة السحب الآمنة
I agree that tot balls are not for shock loads, but they are not mostly for vertical loads. When pulling up grades they do take the whole weight of the trailer. I see what you mean though that they equal death especially the lighter ones, personally I have used one that is rated for over 12,000lbs in a situation where I didn't necessarily know better and it worked fine although now that I know this I will definitely just use the pin.
Thanks for the top video mate, great info and you didn't fluff on with bullshit.
Very informative video. Well done. I have a question regarding the use of a hitch in recovery. I have seen many people use them and then many more suggest they aren't to be used in recovery, they are strictly for towing. Can you elaborate more on that please?
@Ronny_Dahl

They would be referring to 'the tow ball' which you should never ever use for recovery! The tow ball needs to be removed completely. Then you could use the pin with a rated strap OR buy a Reece style recovery point usually around the $80 AUD
