Yes! And in that session they had three full-set drummers! THREE DRUMMERS AT ONCE!

From we like it here: lingus. Shofukon. And outlier. New CD empire central. Trinity- extended version..they are enjoying it so much they don't want to stop.. take it...great song also. Bet...also really good. Welcome to the world of snarky puppy. Line up goes up and down depending on concert availability but for the empire central album they had 3 guitar players, 1 bass, 4 brass,1 violen, 3 drummers, 3 percussionist and 4 keyboards.

@@PowerfulReactions Trinity will blow your mind so you should save it and do it last. Sleeper, shofukan and lingus are my top 3 from this session but you won't go wrong listening and reacting to all that are available. We'll certainly be here joining you 👍🙂. I would say of the choices to pause or talk over, the talk over with volume dip is my least favourite....my 1st time here so if it's your thing it's your thing. Would be interested in if it jars a bit for others also? Probably me just being weird though 😁

Nice reaction man! There's so much music by them to recommend, my big favorites are probably Lingus, Shofukan, Trinity and The Curtain. For their latest album there were 19 musicians in the room.

Dig the reaction too! The band is a 'family' of 40-plus musicians who, to date, have 6 Grammys (not counting Shaun Martin's 4) I love how they play around with music and make me feel like they're Superhuman-Vulcan-Sith-Jedi Masters when I don't even know how to breathe properly. They are AWESOME (with a capital 'F') My Favs are Intelligent Design (Live); The Curtain; Lingus; Outlier; Thing of Gold; Trinity, and Mean Green.

Snarky Puppy!!!!! Larnell Lewis is a beast drummer!!! Top 5 ever. Lingus is a great next video for them. Same session. Drummer learned songs on the flight to the recording. Last minute addition after previous drummer left.

I see most have already requested my two favorites: Outlier and Lingus. 40ish in total of them, 20 on stage at a show. Yea.

This was a live recording of the album. “ we like it here “ larnell Lewis on drums. Had to fill in for another drummer that had a problem with his visa. He learned the tracks during a flight from the USA. Went from the airport direct to the recording

There's no band in existence who could "jam" at this level. The solos are brilliant improvisations whilst the arrangements are as tight as it is possible to be.

Love me some Snarky Puppy. I've been a background student of Larnelle Lewis (drummer) for years. I'm sure you've heard of (Animals As Leaders)?? ...if not, they should be your next go to

One thing to remember (specifically SP recordings) is to open up the complete description. You will then know all of the participants on the track because they usually list them all. The other thing to remember is the entire listening audience have been given bluetooth ‘silent disco’ headphones which are plugged into the mixing board’s main output. I hope to one day be chosen to be in a listening audience for a SP video; definitely bucket list material.

The Japanese fusion band Cassiopea comes to mind on this track - which is NOT a bad thing.

The guy on the guitar is like a mad scientist.

I assume you mean the soloist, in which case his name is Bob Lanzetti, the one next to him is Mark Lettieri, and I forgot the name of the third one.

They tour a lot all over the world usually with 9 or 10 members. Live on tour you never know what the hell is going to happen next. A nod of the head and everything changes. They were recording their live performances which would be mastered almost immediately and offered for sale the next day. I have a lot of them and you can hear the same piece in many times, but never quite the same. Not sure if they are still doing that, but the perspective is different and sometimes better than their live recording sessions.

I believe they have for their tour performances, but I think it's now limited to people who got tickets to attend to begin with. But their first-time album recordings, even though they're live, are different. We Like It Here has four versions of each song, IIRC. But only one version of each song made it onto the final album - Lingus being a famous example where Cory Henry thought that particular solo wasn't actually his best (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!).

This has to be Snarky’s best album. If that’s not the case, please tell me which album is better so I can listen.
