On March 8th, 2013, Snarky Puppy and a host of special guests convened at the Jefferson Center in Roanoke VA. The project was to record a series of live performances in audio and video that would bring attention and benefit to the ongoing work of the center. The Jefferson Center is a non-profit arts organization that is revitalizing a key neighborhood in Roanoke with the restoration of Jefferson High School and the renovation of the Shaftman Performance Hall. The hall brings world class music to the local community through the Music Lab, providing education and recording space for local children.
The Music Lab at Jefferson Center is working daily to pull from every social and economic class of the Roanoke community and create the next wave of real, human musicians. They host low cost or free after-school programs for any interested young people filled with visits by guest artists, private instrumental instruction, and recording training. Wafting out of the little studios and rehearsal rooms on the third floor of Jefferson Center, you can hear Afro-beat in Swahili, hip-hop in Liberian Kreyol, the blues coming from the guitar of a 13 year-old prodigy, and the undeniable sound of young musicians growing. It's a thing that needs to be supported at all costs across this country, and by purchasing this record, you've done it.
A portion of every sale will go to the Music Lab at Jefferson Center.

Exactly as below, tons of confidence from Tony, which enabled him to play super-tasty solos and fills. Lots of very interesting stuff.
This blows my socks off
Oh man, when the organ hits in!
I wish i had this dude's confidence! He plays without second guessing himself, there are no wrong notes for him, just notes that sound cool!

um no... michael is in fact playing a hofner bass. he's playing it with a plectrum. Michael plays the baritone guitar in Too Hot Too Last with Lucy Woodward.
Jazzy blues meets Michael Bay's style direction

They dont have "horrible" sound quality, (he's wearing Beats Studios) just overpriced. Since it's simply for monitoring, perfect sound fidelity isn't necessary. Beats are just fine for what they're being used for in this situation.

The high-end Beats Studio models (which Cory is wearing) actually have pretty great sound quality. If you don't believe me, go and try a pair. The common misunderstanding of Beats having shit sound quality is totally wrong... the issue with them is they're just ludicrously overpriced for what they are. People will buy them because of the marketing and because they care more about what they look like and following a trend than about sound fidelity. Low-end Beats have OK sound quality, it's just that for the price they're charging you could get some Audio Technica or Sennheisers that would totally blow them out of the water. Audiophiles will never buy Beats because they could buy a better pair of headphones for much, much less. But Beats deserve to be slammed for being the Apple of headphones (ridiculously overpriced, marketed as 'cool', more focused on style than specs), not for having 'horrible sound quality'.
reading the descriptions.. please fix. Mark Lettieri plays Guitar. And Michael League Plays Bass. Lol. =D or is this a troll?
Wonder what tuning is this
Idk why I kinda thought his vocals would automatically be trash just because his guitar playing was stellar, but his voice really fit the song and I loved the whole thing.
:)) :))
ooooh mike with the violin bass... Jay Turser or hofner?

Hey Myreon, just received my copy of the Family Dinner album and it states: "[Michael League plays] a really pretty Alleva-Coppolo 5-string bass in addition to his 1967 Hofner and 1976 Fender Precision[]." :-)
