The amazing thing is how completely naturally Leslie Nielsen pulls of each and every oblivious comedic character he plays. You absolutely cannot tell that he's acting a part. It's so incredibly smooth. He truly was such a comic genius towards the last few decades of his life.

Actually Birmingham has a great art museum. That county votes Dem every presidential election and George Wallace was livid in his hatred of Birmingham. It is NOT typical Alabama and is hated by the rural Whites in the state. The other good place is Huntsville, where NASA is. I used to be the economist for the AL legislature. I was disliked solely for being White and treating African Americans as equals. My early years were in NY and NJ until my father was transferred by AT&T. Unfortunately rural counties have most of the political power by far. They hate just for being moderate. I was in China 12 years and liked it better than Alabama. The blonde lady from SNL went to Auburn University. She is very smart but can play any role. Unfortunately the rural Whites in Alabama like Trump.

This is actually the dress rehearsal version. The version that aired live was a bit more sloppy, and while it was still funny, some of the jokes didn’t land as well. It takes good timing to make this kind of chaos work as comedy.

@jedijones

They make it hard. I mean people complain that the original Star Wars has a few minutes of changes, but half of the '80s and '90s SNL content has no official release in any format. It's all out there on the internet unofficially if you dig a little though. The unofficial copies have gotten easier to find in the last year. Been enjoying Misery II, Tooncinator, The Real World with the eskimo, Brady Bunch vs. the Partridge Family and others recently.
@TokyoXtreme

Monster Trucks vs Funny Cars is extremely difficult to find. It was near the end of David Alan Grier’s episode (or James Vanderbeek?), and was an absurd and epic CGI parody of such events. It was made available briefly, for maybe a few months, and has disappeared once again - perhaps forever.
