Good video. Plumbing issues is my number one call. Conversation always goes like this: "I don't know what happened. It just broke/stopped working/started backing up. We never touched or flushed anything. I have no idea why the water bill is $550. I haven't been home. No, we don't have a pool in the back yard." (there's a 24 ' diameter Walmart pool in back yard and the grass is bright green in August with 4 kids running through sprinklers and water running down the street).

Haha. This is great!! I can tell it’s not your first day as a landlord. But don’t forget… Don’t flush wipes down the drain. “No no we don’t use those!” But they are on the back of your toilet? “Ooo we never flush them!” Right…I just pulled back 20 on my cable. “That must be from the last tenant!” Well u have lived here for 5 years…

Thanks for watching. I’ve looked into adding the auto feed but never purchased. Just repair this machine. This was the worse tangle I’ve ever had, maybe helpful someday. RIDGID K400: Fixing a twisted tangled cable kzread.info/dash/bejne/fHx61qqwk7PXl8Y.html

You will regret them rubber gloves one day, leather for cable machines. That cable will break your fingers or wrist before you can get off the air switch. Just a little FYI.

I love this little machine. Thanks for watching. The auto feed is definitely nice. All drain machines had auto feed at my previous job. No I never really thought about it...... but I just looked it up on Amazon and for $170 bucks I might order it. Hahah

Is your K400 setup with 3/8" or 1/2" cable? I noticed you used an Electric Eel in your other videos. Which is your go-to and which one would you say is the most universal? I got 1.5" kitchen stack and some 3" stacks for the toilet/bath.

My k400 is a 3/8 cable. I would buy the K400 a good toilet auger and the ryobi drain snake. Most 3 or 4 inch stacks in my area go out to 6inch when it leaves the house. I personally would not use k400 on 4 or 6 inch. I do a lot of tubs and sink drains. Hopefully this helps.

@@handylandlord Thanks, for sure, 3/8 is going to kink or break in 6". I have the K400 and now the K750. Trying to decide between 5/8" for the K750 or 3/4". I have a 3-4" cast iron under the basement and 6" clay out to the street main. Wondering if 5/8" is solid enough while still more flexible than 3/4" or if I should just go all out. Also - any sewer camera recommendations?

K750 Awesome! I have used the K750 a few times and I really liked it. Both cables are from Ridgid or drain cables direct are probably good. I prefer a cable with no core so I can repair. I would call and talk to someone at Ridgid or drain cables direct. I use drain cable direct because my machine is modified to take a slip joint cable end. Make sure to get a few different blade sizes. My machine came with 3/4. I switched the cable to 5/8 or 11/16 and 110ft to cut weight and switch to a different cable end. Most mains in my area are under 100ft, but I have an additional 20ft section of cable that I saved from an old cable. It has came in handy several times. With sewer cameras I use the Vevor 150 ft camera. Can't justify spending so much on an expensive camera like Ridgid. I can buy 10 cameras from Vevor for the price of one Ridgid and so far it's served me well. Just have to be careful not to kink the cable so I use cold water to assist. www.vevor.com/s/sewer-cameras kzread.info/head/PLUDGkY7U4Fu16xi_oOp5bj13BbzUoLFGC
