i still get goosebumps when listening to this song even after years, the emotion in this is insane..

I was 19 when I first listened to this and went through my very first major heartbreak. Together for five years, every little thing hurt for a while, until it didn't. Looking back, losing yourself and the respect you built for yourself only for the person you loved to destroy it makes you see things from a clearer perspective. No matter how much they loved you, begged, and fought for your relationship to work, you will eventually shut off and resent them in the end for hurting you. This song was on repeat 24/7 for months until I finally moved on and the lyrics no longer speak to me in a painful way but will forever be part of my life. 2017 was a great year for music.

Pretty agree with the analisys but don't think he wants to move on to his new relationship. Clearly this new woman in his life makes him forget what's going wrong in his current relationship but if you look closely 3'20 the look on his face while he's wrapping his new girl and this fast stop on his O tattoo made by his first girl make us think he's doubting and regretting his first love. Adding to this the fact that he is the one rushing on her trying to stop her to leave when she get out the club upset about seeing him with his new girl. I think it's all about basic behavior of the guy trying to forget his problems with a what we can call rebound girl, But this also same girl make him realize that the one he truly loves is the first one. Likewise, there are lazy pieces of shit that have their shit together. I work 60+ hours a week and still don't have my shit together.
