Peyton Bowen had a heck of a game...a blocked punt, a Critical pass defended on 4th and 6 when they were still in the game and a pass defended that should have prevented their Only Touchdown that got prevented from a Very Questionable pass interference call

SMU has had a top 15 scoring offense nationally in each of the last four seasons. In any of those years, they've never scored as few as 11 points. Tonight's 11 point output is their lowest scoring game since 2017. What a performance by the Oklahoma defense.

SMU should not have got that TD, the Referee calling a Pass Interference was terrible. No pass interreference, and they held a guy trying to get to the QB, but they did not call it. Terrible calls. I'm not a homer, I think OU always has that issue, they call OU for holding all the time, but the other teams, same ways of holding, hardly ever called. Terrible of Referees. IMHO.

Sooners looked good. Defense mich much more improved. Oline looked a bit shaky and still really not a lot of pass rush for the Dline but they're getting better. To hold SMU to 11 poio and penalties mostly helped them get that 11 pointe. Folks I'm starting to believe OU has a defense. As long as they keep getting better and the backups get better Sooners are a dangerous team. JUST WIN BABY!! BOOMER!!

There is a very high standard for Oklahoma football. Many fans of other teams are fine with the win. Most sooner fans won a decisive victory especially when it's on a less talented team because that's the standard with the Sooners and the coach knows it. When Texas barely lost to Alabama last year I'll bet you money that were Alabama players and fans that fought at least the tide was lucky or maybe not the better team. Yes I'll take a win any day but respect should come with that win and so sometimes it has to be decisive. As good as the Sooners need to be, Texas is looming, a 17-point margin is not very respectable in this case.Lebby should have opened up the passing game props to SMU.

We covered, and held them to a single touchdown. What more do you want? I knew this game wasn't going to be easy. This should have been Georgia.

That was a good win. You don't have to blow teams out for it to be a good win smh. This team is way better than a year ago especially on defense. This is year two of a rebuild it takes time

@DB-ir5pu it was kind of an ugly win offensively. Many drives that turned into nothing and even the TD's were pretty sloppy on Gabriel's part. We got some stud receivers though. I just can't wait till Arnold learns what he needs to and is our starter.
