Surely even the most hasd-nosed anti-quartz mob can't complain about this one? But they will anyway I'm sure. I love the movement, and for once, also the case they put it in! But I should have bought brown. Cheers, Jody

I own three Precisionists. That's two Claremont and one Langford. Love them all. Wearing the Langford on and off (say about three weeks total) lost only ~6 seconds during a year-long trial. In this instance more accurate than the Seiko Spring Drive on paper (10 sec/yr) and approaching the Citizens T100 movement (1 sec/yr) and nowhere near the cost cost of either. I may need a 4th Precisionist; the Jetstar. Last word: hypnotic sweep at Bulova prices!!!

Onto the Bulova site, asked about the battery type giving the model and movement type, was asked the reference number for the watch and was then told it would have to come back for inspection. That was from Citizen who own Bulova. Btw I've also seen that sort of battery in a Casio Edifice watch.

Dr. Jody, how did you manage to resist purchasing the black gilt version? It’s stunning! 🔥

I really like these! I find myself in the same dilemma- 70’s yellow and brown or blue and red Evel Knievel stunt racing colors??? Either way you win:)

got mine today the Silver also. Did you find the pins a pig to remove to resize the bracelet ? it took me a good bit of effort , I had to get a mini hammer to my pin remover and whack them trough and then use a pliers to pull them out, a tooth would have been easier to get out. thats my only gripe with it, I do love the red one i may have to get it...

Picked up the Merlot dial on sale. I really like the watch but wonder why they went with a white sweeping seconds hand instead of brushed silver...

Tq. Really intrigued by precisionist sweep. Will pull the trigger if they launch a model with rotating bezel. Haha

About the lume. Just to check how well it works, I charged mine up before going to bed, and around 8 hours later in the dark I could still read the time. Mine works good enough for me. Its a very nice watch. The size is great. I also like the size of the date window. Some of the movements just make the date too small, but the date here is a good size.

Definitely no bad color combination here, but I like the limited one you got. That’s a stunning watch! Thanks for the great review as always.

Gold mustard with brown rally strap looks stunning. Should have had bronze case to go with it !!!

I really am looking forward to getting the red wine dial one. I really like the gold one as well but overall I stay away for gold watches.

I really like the looks of this style Bulova bit out of my price range but definitely on the list!

It's almost a shame that Bulova don't make tuning fork movements any more, considering they still use them on the branding/logo. Sure, they're technically obsolescent but it would give Bulova some market differentiation. Especially after they spun off Accutron with their Electro-Static technology into their own brand... This could just be my own bias from owning a vintage tuning fork movement and loving it though!

They should. There's a lot of "tuning fork" lovers that would buy a brand new one. Like me

I want to see that movement in some micros. Nice job bulova. Please do some more brushing, and drop the 262khz from the dial, put precisionist or use the symbol.

I have a Surveyor II (green dial), which I love. I've been offered quite a sum for it, but it's too good to part with.

Very nice. I'm getting a strong 70s Zenith Defy vibe from this. And it's not a bad thing.
