Lou Gramm is one of the most underrated singers of all time in my opinion. Excellent vocals👍
Foreigner has so many great songs. It's a dam shame they are not in the rock and roll hall of fame. Way over do. Check out, I want to know what love is. One of their best.

The HOF IS A JOKE.
Foreigner 4 is a killer album.
“I Want to Know What Love Is” is the song with everything- including a gospel choir. Lou Gramm said the song practically wrote itself after he had a string of failed relationships. And the gospel choir made sense because he felt the song was spiritual in nature. Have to watch the official video though.

He gave his life to God at or around 92 so even though I believe this was earlier it was definitely in the back of his mind.
Lou Gramm was the best. "Urgent", "Juke Box Hero", "Break It Up", "I Want to Know What Love Is", "Say You Will", and "I Don't Want to Live Without You".

It is a very beautiful song. GO VAN -GO VAN🤣
In his time foreigners lead singer Lou Gramm was one of the best rock singers there was
Foreigner is a great rock band! With plenty of hits.
I wish we could all talk about race without being accused of racism. There are some differences between races, although that's mostly cultural, it doesn't mean one race is superior/inferior to the other - just different. I knew exactly what you meant about it sounding like "black music". Keep on doing what you're doing. :)

Def a Motown feel to the song like R&B more than Rock n Roll(who's foundation was heavily influenced by R&B).
One of the most amazing songs ever
Man I remember every word to this one I'm singing right along now this is my kinda music 🎵🎶🎶 I grew up on the best of
Foreigner is amazing. There’s no way you can listen to this and find fault. You have done several songs by Foreigner and you keep acting surprised at how good they are! 😂This is a great band with many power ballads. 🌺✌️

Years ago met a beautiful woman way out of my league , this song not only got me a date but 21 years of being happily married and she is still out of my league.
My 2 most fav bands back n the day Foreigner & Journey
Love this song! Van pass it on. Classics never go out of style🎶🎶
Met Lou Gramm in the 90's when he was in a 70's band collaboration performance at Resorts in Atlantic City, very nice guy & great singer... I'm sure I turned 50 shades of red when he singled me out to sing to though, he did find me after the show to make sure I had survived! LOL Still have the inflatable dog he and the others autographed after the show for me (if I dug it out I could tell you who else was there that night but I'm being lazy).
Lou Gram always emotes from the gut n heart when he sings...well, he SAAAANNNGGGGS...he is a impeccable singer

*you just had to get up and dance...love it. Great reaction Van:)))
Van, most of Foreigner's songs are hits. Lou Gramm was irreplaceable! 70's is where it's at! So much diversity in the music!
Wishing there was a love button because I am loving your smooth groove. Get it, Van.
Yes I'm ready for this one
Lou Gramm and that voice!!!! Wow!!!
Foreigner is such an underrated band. This came out when I was in 6th grade and it’s still a favorite.
OMG.....7th grade when this was released. I had clicked play .......looked away at the tv....and as soon as the intro played. NECK SNAPED AROUND and I cranked up the volume! Dude! I got my first kiss at a dance with song!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG.... sooooo many memories flooding in.
Their concert was awesome!!! I saw them back in 80's!!!
You go Van!!! I love it when music can make you feel like grooving. Not too many reactors would show their true feelings and get up and let loose like that. Love that you set yourself free (and some pretty good moves too). I’d like to see more of that pure joy.
Hahaha...LFR no racism disrespect what so ever!! Great reaction....love the final voice impersonation! Lou Gramm is the best!!
Straight 10’s. The song, the reaction and the dancing. Loved it.
You definitely hit the nail right on the head with "SMOOTH ". it's such a great song.
LOVE your reaction, the vocal /instrument breakdown, the dancin'. lol! Lou Gramm definitely has one of the most soulful voices ever. Foreigner had EPIC hits back in the day.
Classic song. Those haunting keys
Great choice I love Foreigner great song beautiful and very emotional, awesome song.👍❤️😢.
Not racist, I think is a compliment. I've heard some smooth music from Black singers and groups.
Song: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Reaction: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Dancing: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Such a great song! 🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️
This was from the Double Vision album (1977), you can hear the influence of contemporary groups in this song, especially the synthesizer use to emulate voices like 10CC's big hit two years earlier, "I'm not in love". The New tech of the synthesizer was just being developed.
My aunt was in college when this came out. I went to visit her for the weekend and her roommate 🥰 hit me like a tin of bricks. A 10 or 11 year old kid lived this song. Lol
Never seen you get up and dance before. THAT is good music 🎶
Great dancing, Van! Love it!
Love Foreigner ❤️ Van I love watching you doing your reaction video. You can tell music 🎵 moves your soul. Love ❤️ You

Go VAN! Great song! My favorite! Great reaction! 💚
Everytime I hear this song man I think of gta vice city. Foreigner had it all, musicianship, vocal and smooth content..love this song and love the reaction my man.
I absolutely love Foreigner!!!❤
I don't find your comment to be racist. I'm 56, white skin covering me and keeping all my inside in place. Peel back and we are all the same damn color inside. I agree and I like your reactions alot. Thank you Sir. Giving respect to a Man who could probably be young enough to be my Son. 🌿
I have loved this group for years. They are “The Greatest”. I’m old now and they transport me back to my 20’s. So love them!!!
The thing that cracks me up when people say "I thought it was a Black group, but I don't mean to offend anybody!"... to me that sounds like the biggest compliment. If you're white and you can sing w enough soul and rub some funk on it enough that Black folks ain't sure? That's a doggone accomplishment.
@debbiehoyt9018

That was where his influence musically lies. I think he would probably see that as a compliment as a musician myself I would!
The entire Foreigner IV album is fabulous
Yes they have a synth. Such good tunes. Lou is very good the band is smooth together
There's no horn, but there is a piano/keyboard. If you want to hear gr8 sax, play Foreigner's "Urgent". I knew you would love Foreigner, Van. Lou Gramm is the man! Some people say Steve Perry of Journey is the "Voice"; Lou Gramm has always been The "Voice" to me! Please react to "I Want to Know What Love Is" (original video).
Wow... I don't think I ever realized how much Foreignet hit as new sound. They were just always in my collection. The effect of spoiled by riches as a teen into young adulthood.
It's hard to choose, with so many great Foreigner songs, but I am pretty sure this one is my favorite.
As a white woman who grew up on motown it stole my heart at thirteen and forgot to give it back I love black music 🎶 🎵
Van, this is a big hit from a big group back in the day. Lou Gramm had an amazing voice! It must be the whiskey that loosened you up.
Best reaction! Thoughtful, insightful, and--I laughed so hard and out loud at the lyrics comments haha!!!

Beautiful helping for 25 years
Foreigner is one of the best bands Some our their songs will get you the all the girls
This is my favorite type of music, soft rock.
The synths were programmed and played by Thomas Dolby, who had a few hits of his own in the mid-80's, mostly "new wave" stuff.

Omg the Blinded me with science guy, never knew.
i remember when this song came out, i remember buying the 45 at harmony house, and later the LP. i think in my younger years i've been known to stand and maybe sway a bit.. so that dance of yours definately gets a thumbs up from me!
Music makes the world a better place
I agree with your reaction to this gentleman
Van! Grown folks music is right….I was a student in the 8th grade with the sounds of Foreigner!….and Lou has pipes that crosses all color boundaries…Nice!
You are correct!!!! SMOOTH!
This is baby making music! It was on the Footloose (1984) soundtrack.
This is the best love song of Eighties ❤❤❤
Sooo many great songs. Love Foreigner. Check out Journey's , When You Love a Woman, or Firehouse's, "Love of a Lifetime".
My husband and I laugh together when you say throwing draws at you 🤣
That a good point. The lyrics are not corny I think because it matches the tone and mood of the song so perfectly. One of my favorite songs ever
This group has a lot of great songs
This song was played at every school dance in the 80s and on every mix tape given to a girl
I'm 63 years old, white, and been a musician since I was six. In no way, means, shape or form would I consider your comment racist. Soul has no color, music has no color. Funky is funky, Soul is soul and so on and so on. I've played with allot of musicians over the years (black, white, mexican, and asian) and none of them were ever racist or afraid to speak with a free tongue. Everybody needs to be that way IMO.
say you will is absolutely their best song. its upbeat and makes you wanna dance
Another Power Ballad from the 80's and still sounds great!
Hello always loved this Song..but i also loved your little dance!!...grazie..💃💕
This track isn't just smooth, but subtle. Quiet horns, backup singers whispering, the whole deal. Great production
Great reaction!! Lou Graham has one of the most beautiful voices. I think you should listen to Double Vision...a little more up-tempo, but very well done 👏
Van, you are quite correct! This song DID make my drawers come off-September, 1983 😂😂😂
I just saw them again in 2019, at an outside venue on a warm September night in Boise Idaho! They were just as amazing in person as they were back in the day! 🥰🦋❤️🎶😎
Yes they had a keyboardist!!🎹🎹🎵🎶🎼🎧🎙🎤🥁🎸🤘🤘🤘 Check out "I Want To Know What Love Is" by Foreigner!!!🎵🎼🎶
THAT BEAMING SMILE SAYS IT ALLLLL!!!😂 GO VAN, GO VAN!!!❤❤
probably my favorite Foreigner song
“I wanna know what love is” (need official video if at all possible) and “Hot Blooded that will rock your draws off!!😁💙👍🤘🏼
Hit that THANNGGG!!! Classic rock gold.
Back in the day we made music...not black white just music...we were in it together 😎
This song, "Urgent", and "Juke Box Hero" are all on the same album. But another great song, "Break It Up", got overshadowed a bit on the album by those songs. It really shows off Lou Gramm's vocal range, and no KZreadrs ever react to it.
WOW Van, you makin me blush with those moves. This song is just gorgeous.
Keep up the gold work fam. I love the reactions.
Love your dance moves Van! Please take a listen to Lady by Little River Band or I Love You by Climax Blues Band.

Not racist at all. That's just how it be. I've heard black folk sounding white and white folk sounding black. Its all good.
