We're taking our two-stroke scooters to The Tail of The Dragon! It's definitely a different experience than it was on a big scoot.

Looks great. Also looks like a lot of the roads I prefer to ride on here in PA.

Gold Mine Rd one of them? I've heard about it and wanted to take it when I went to Centralia, but I had to stick to highways and he most direct path to be able to do the trip in a day and have time around Centralia.

@@49ccscoot no, I’ve not ventured that far yet. Just local tree lined roads near(ish) to the house. Rode 80 miles last Sunday morning from York out across towards Shippensburg and back. Nice ride.

But overall great .For long rides you need to run rich in jetting like big pilots so the engine won’t blow✅

I told him he should paint the nitrous bottle red and get an extinguisher sticker for it... not that I'd actually advise anyone doing such a thing. 😁

@@campervanbug7658 I thought about trying that in my 49cc 4T. Ryan was gonna at least go E85 for the drag races, but never got time to get some (not a lot near either of us) and tune.

So, what I'm not getting is the speeds you are doing. From all I've seen you have much experience with two-strokes. But 70 mph seems very low to me with the 94cc kit? I just run a 77cc, with standard ignition (geared moped) and that easily does 80 mph. Just curious.

I've done about 85MPH. Ryan's has been over 90MPH with a pretty similar setup, but he's over 100 pounds lighter than me and punching a smaller hole in the air from his size and the much lower scooter. I could probably get more speed out of it... but I just don't care. I like taking off quickly and doing power wheelies and I hardly ever run it up past 70. To me, the obsession with top speed on these is just bragging rights and I'm not really trying to impress anyone. Honestly, I cruise around at 30-40MPH on the shoulder a lot when I'm on main roads. It's practically stock officer.

Thinking about spark plugs you think Ryan's 250 swap had to high of a heat range spark plug?

I'm not sure what he runs in there. It's possible, but I think it's likely lack of tuning. He's said that he never put much effort into tuning, because he doesn't run it that hard normally.

I had one step cooler plugs in the 250. It was just never tuned to run wide open for miles on end up hill.
