Awesome video👍👍👍👍
Oh, she's friggin MINT, Bud! Very impressed.
You know everybody's hero was Jerry Reed, but Jackie Gleason made that movie. The seen were he looks down at the black sheriff after they went into the creek. Hey boy were is sheriff Branford? I am sheriff Branford. Somehow you sounded a little taller on radio. Best seen ever.
One prime reason I watch Mark's work is; deference takes backseat to perfection "Might as Well do it Right" !! 🚛
A blind man to be glad to see it Mark no kidding around great job😊😊
You have a very nice shop , looks to be well though out,
Most of the time trailers are Matt finish on undercarriage unless custom definitely enjoying the whole project
Just retired after 54 years in the business. Never drove a company truck. Always ran refrigerated. Sold my last truck 3 months ago. 68 W900A. 1693 with a flipped 10 spd and flipped 3 spd brownie, 3:55s and tall rubber. Good luck on your project
Just a happy little beer hauler
Silver makes anything look good
I will never not look for the cactus now... Lol, thanks Mark. Congrats on the parts washer.
Well now....ain't she looking purdy now, well done. I think The Smoky and The Bandit truck really pops and looks amazing. That's my other favourite movie Big Trouble Little China, here's an idea why not make a Big Trouble Little China tribute replica truck after this one.
Coming along sweet Mark always a pleasure to watch your videos
Nice truck
I never knew there were 2 trailers used!
awsome video mark a super safe parts washer is suuuch a big help for you makes things easy for you thumbs up and shared
If bandit was real guy I doubt his paint under his trailer would be perfect ! Looking good! Good work
Mark you got to have the pork chop Express. Start a fund me page!! And take mrs twin sticks out for dinner. What a line up.
Love the ‘Big Trouble in Little China’ playing in the background!! One of my favorites!
Yes Mark the right brake pliers work perfectly and then you just have to hammer the rest of the spring into the spot
To avoid air tank drain mess, take some 3/8 th brake line, hook it up at the tank, and run it outside of your building. Then you can put the drain valve at any easy reach . Just make sure it's in an area were the rust staining won't be an issue.
The movie tandems and undercarriage looked more tan to me
Mark you the man I no you care about me I been watching your show for last 2 years like lock work every Thursday I no you herd this be for but if you could give a shout out to good old Arnprior for bud the spud was razed Arnprior Ontario love your show Take Mark 🤙🤙🤙 bring on the showes
I think its awesome don’t worry about the criticism
Man who paints his trailer like that would show up to a ministers funeral wearing feathers

Mark, your attention to detail is sublime.
Can't imagine now many times mark you've watched smokey and the bandit lol. Great job mark hope your not near any of the forest fires out there be safe cheer's.
I’m 48 and Smokey and the Bandit has always been one of my favorites since I was a kid so I really appreciate your attention to detail on this build. I still get goosebumps when they come up on the convoy.
Thank you for the video. Good content, nice job.
I think you have the best trick for doing brake shoes already figured out. Simply remove the tandems and you have all kinds of room with the van out of the way.
I just use a pry bar with a notch in it to set the spring
❤❤❤
Mark, The man who painted the original trailer in the movie was a guy named Red Hahn. He also painted some images on the side of my truck down in Ontario, Ca back in the early 80's. He had lots of pictures of his work. really like your channel. Been subscribed a long time. Would like to see a pillbox window Pete in your future. Greetings from N. Minnesota.
twin sticks Garage Love That Smokey And the Bandit Truck Hope you Can get Smokey And the Bandit Trailer Fixed Up keep up the good work Billy Lizza Uniontown pa USA
Awesome Idea. From the UK ❤your videos
Hands up he should do a duel truck
I just use a flexible plastic cutting board that the filler won't react with so when the filler dries I flex the plastic it flakes and peals off and they sale them cheap at Walmart or a dollar store some fillers peal better than others but I still get mine clean
The chain trick for the brakes is easier to do without the rollers in and just pull on the chain hard. You don't need a screw driver too pry it
I’ve not been able too follow you for a while fella. You have come a long way. I been serving he’s majesty the king. Brilliant work again. I gotta play catch up. Well done m8 good luck good health. Regards from south London England 🏴
Nice work Mark...hope the wild fires were not near you 29:54
For the shoes, small springs on, set shoes on, fold bottom one under, hook long spring, then pry shoes with a crescent wrench to slip the rollers in last. J.C. Smith just showed this in a recent video.

Yeah I’ve done it that way in previous episodes 👍
Been following you for a bit now. Doing a great job on the Smokey and the Bandit tribute rig. Here is a fun side note. In one of the later episodes of the walking dead we got a little Easter egg. Characters were hiding from Negan and it just happened to be next to the snowman trailer. Just thought it was super cool to see.
Not sure if you come down to the States all that much, but once you have all of this put together we would love to have you at the Great Salt Lake truck show in Utah
good paint job, i follow every stap on your channel.
Never ever was an image of a cactus more important! 😁 ;-) 2) I'm really glad that Misses Twin Sticks is so reasonable. Please don't let your hobby ruin you. Maybe someone will start a gofundme campaign to get the original movie truck back to North America?! Best regards, luck, health and wisdom.
I've got an idea for the inside of your trailer. You were wondering what to put in it, i was thinking, have an image of the coors beer stacked up in boxes at the end of the trailer to give the impression that the trailer is full of coors. But the image is on a roller which you can wind up into the roof of the trailer. A bit like having a large window blind. Then behind that you can have all your memorabilia of smokey and the bandit that has been donated by fans like different numberplates, images and parts, etc. Then when you go to different truck shows, people can walk into the back of your trailer and look at the different items. It will essentially be a Smokey and the Bandit museum on wheels 😊👍 You could try and fit a trans am in there if you wanted 😂

The original colour was probably what was known as Silverfrost over here, pretty common industrial colour back in the 70's and used on a lot of period trailers. It basically just looks like powdered aluminium suspended in dove grey paint before you spray it.
One of the reasons I love your channel is because I started driving trucks in 1976 at 18 years old so i have driven or owned the trucks you have in your shop back in the day. The best trucking has ever been. I think you should twin stick the cabover. My first truck was a 68 Freightliner with a 4x4 and a 335 cummins. I loved that truck.
As a fan of Bob Ross as well as this channel, this opening is just the right opening for a top-notch KZread video!
Take the roller out of the s cam on both shoes hook the spring then with a prey bar put the rollers in

Aha. The UK and the US. Two countries divided by a common language. Over here we would call reducer 'thinners' and activator 'hardener' or 'catalyst.' Keep up the good work. Oh, Big Trouble in Little China. Top film.
Mark shop safety with the paint and chemicals ( rattle cans ,lube body filer chemicals ! Need too look into getting a safety yellow cabinet ! Yellow is what in the US ! 🤔don’t know about Canada ! Be safe ! And another step ! Won’t be long looking for that Trans Am !
😎👍
Glad to see that you went back to a silver color. It was the lighting that made it appear to be a different color than gray/silver.
The Pork Chop express the farmer was actually outta Calais,Me! I've personally saw it up there!
Wise move on the brakes and didn't use it and took me a 2 hours to beat the slack adjuster off😅
Nice one Mark, it's coming along nicely. I'm a massive fan of Smokey and the Bandit and I made a 1/14 scale RC replica, I've never noticed that there were 2 different trailers in the movie and one had Cactus. I recently read that Big Trouble in Little China is getting a remake with Dwayne Johnson starring, I hope they do it justice.
Vice grips and a pry bar to put those springs back on!

Yeah that's how I've done it in other videos but wanted to try the chain trick out
I think that white would look sharp on the duke. I forget what frame color you're going with but a white frame would be sharp
If you buy the Freightliner, I'll pay the shipping! I love that truck, love the movie (it was my favourite when i was a kid) and love Freightliners.
The key to success in business is to understand where the world is going and get there first, congratulations, I've seen all your videos, Lois Bernardes, ;South of Brazil
My daytons on my 1979 kw lw are hounds tooth white , my rims are matching colour of my truck fathom blue , easy to see if I have issues with my seals or axles 😊, my 3408 is white as well is easy to spot any leaks 😊, so maintenance friendly till I start actually working on her lol 😂
Great lunch time video. It definitely makes Thursday lunch better
After all the years of hauling goods on different trailers, you are not looking for a paint code but a primer. Those trailers were just primered because it`s cheaper than painting. Most companies never bothered painting until the rust needed covering up.
Hi mate. Have been a subscriber for yeas, and absolutely love the content of each of your videos. Am a disable pensioner, here in Australia,,but before becoming too ill to drive Big Rigs, I was a Semi driver, hauling freight long distance up and down the east coast of Australia. I guess it would be a waste of time, in writing to Kurt Russell and letting him know about the Truck being up for sale. The truck may not mean enough to him to bother bringing it back to the U.S.where it belongs. Please keep the videos coming mate, just wish I could afford to patriarch the K100 project, but have to watch every penny. I drove a K100 Kenworth back in the 1990”s,drove her up and down the eastern sea board, including Adelaide for quite a spell. From memory, I am sure she was a Big Cab.Look after your self mate, cheers.
:-) Thanks for video
Turn the inside of the trailer into a living quarters with a/c, beds, mini kitchen n shower/toilet yada yada. Was reading where a fan suggested a memorabilia museum n T/A garage. Actually, if you plan it right you can have all three n even sell TSG tees n hats! Either or I relish in your happiness 🎉 Good for you
Ha ha! I see "Big Trouble in Little China" on the screen in the background. Let's hear it for the "Pork Chop Express"! Are you going to do a White Freightliner next?
On your air compressor. Install a auto purge on the air drain. Every couple minutes it will purge out any water for ya
Mornin Mark Great episode, It is sure nice everything come together. It's funny I have watched the Smokey and the bandit movies many times and I never noticed the undercarriage of the trailer, I guess I never knew what color it was till now. I guess it's one of those things you don't care about until you do. Have a great week Mark say Hello to Mrs. Twin Stix for us.
I didn't know Daytons could look so good. Those look sharp.
I don’t know how to break it to the little lady, but you could fly over there and drive it back by putting it on a ferry and coming across the pond that way.
Just add some black to your white paint and darken it up to your taste great video keep up the good work God bless from GA and stay safe
Silver series Detroit engines had a very similar white/silver color like you were trying to replicate. I bet that's probably the same batch of silver they used a lot back in the 60's and 70's used on a lot of things.
Congrats Brent on finding the right color for ur trailer trans/wheels. Brent, u are coming-up in this world with ur new washer..

Thanks for the hint on a different way to install the Brake Shoes/Springs. I used to install them, your old way. Best wishes from Northern Manitoba.
It appears you know what you're doing. Go for the best clone you can get. Great work.
Looks like everything is coming together on your project "Snowman " and boy do you know the movie very well. I would have never noticed a Cactus... 👊
That multi-layered mixing board is pure genius! Back when I was working on my hotrod, I'd mix body filler on a piece of cardboard. Lots and lots of cardboard. Cheap, but wasteful.
The wife needs a trans am next! good job on the paint match! you have a good eye for details its going to be very impressive at the shows!

You've mentioned a few times about how the movie trucks were a bit rough round the edges, so maybe it'll actually be more authentic if you don't have a show quality paint job on the tandem set?

Wowee! No cactus, is one trailer shorter than the other? Like is the picture cut short? Nice parts washer! Awesome gain!
You also could have put a small dab of anti seize on your hands, touched the frame a few times and could have coated the whole thing in no time 😂😂

I look forward to Thursday nights when your videos drop Down Under. Glad you kept the Daytons ( we call 'em spider rims) for the trailer. They look old school cool. I still run them on my '85 Kenny cab over. Love your content. Thanks again for the Duke up dates for us povo's (that's poverty in Australian) that spend more on our trucks than video subscriptions. Great work love ya stuff.

Hi Darren. Why is it even to this day that spiders are so popular and even still specced on truck and trailers over in Australia? I never actually asked that question while I worked there. I was last working over in WA in 2012 and they were still really common then. I see the alloy rims are becoming more popular recently but just curious as someone asked me that question the other day and I couldn't actually answer it....
The color looks different sort of white on film but it should be Argent Silver. That's kinda a light satiny silver.
When you made the comment about painting being enjoyable and the prep work not i just nodded my head in agreement. I've got 2 pickups I'm working on and the prep work is super tedious. I can't wait to get to painting as i like that step lol.
I think you made a good decision on going with more of a silver than white undercarriage.
The trailer paint job was from jolly rancher candies from Colorado. The stage coach became a wheelstander at bandimere speedway Feid trip in elementary school (brown elementary) to the candy factory .
I remember a few trucks having chrome Dayton wheels back in the day, they looked really good but they were kinda rare.
Sorry about that. Mark you sure do great videos about the Snowman truck.
Yeah man, wouldn't that be absolutely frickin Cool, to have the Snowman's rig and the Pork chop Express, damn, you'd be shittin in high cotton then. Lol!
