Everytime I look out to the herd, Smokey has become more and more closer to the mares... Cat (our foal) and him are becoming best buds and spend most of the day with each other exploring.
Smokey still comes in for his milk and bucket of soaked feed, plus his scratches.
we are so glad that the two foals have found each other, having horse community is vital for the well being of growth mentally and emotionally, they learn how to be social animal and what herd dynamics are all about.
teaches them boundaries, how to approach, how to be part of a working/co-exhisiting dynamic.
horses are incredibly social and rely on each other for their well being.
YES bob is not in this herd anymore! We have exciting news about him and will share a video about his journey.

It’s just wonderful how well Smoky is being accepted by the herd! No more chasing off. Love seeing Banic Bob still in the picture.

Thank you both for giving the orphaned foals such a good life! I appreciate you so much! Smokey is such a happy boy! Loved by people and other horses alike! Thank you for bringing us along on your journey!

Smokey seems to like Cat. Even if he is around other horses - he is most focused on her. It is so cute. I love watching Smokey grow and integrate into regular horse life.

I always check for Smokey updates as soon as I get on here. I always loved that when we had horses. Quiet at the end of the day and the smell of hay and horses with a beautiful sunset

WOW, from being rejected to welcomed to the herd.....with a little help from Guardian Bob.
I am 63...love horses but never could afford to be in that world except for two years as a teenager when my mom made some big sacrifices to get me to riding lessons for two years...but I was the only kid who didn't have there own horse to ride.
Smokey is one lovely and very lucky foal. I adore how Bob made the little guy his responsibility and now to see him accepted by the herd is wonderful. Smokey's unfolding story is very special to me. That little blazed face stole my heart from the first video💖

Happy for Smokey that things are going well for him. But is Bob gone? I knew he was for sale but was hoping he’d keep his “spot on the payroll” for a bit longer.

I only discovered you guys a few weeks ago and I love your videos! What color do you think Smokey will be once he sheds out his baby coat? I use to have horses over forty years ago and I really miss having a horse but that was in my young single days. Now I’m old and I guess I’m an “armchair Equestrian” living vicariously thru other peoples horses!
