Smoke was seen over the Gaza Strip early on May 14 as Israel's offensive in the enclave continued.
It comes as the United Nations' agency for Palestinian refugees announced that around 450,000 Palestinians had been driven out of Rafah in Gaza's south over the past week. Seven months of Israeli bombardment and ground operations in Gaza have seen more than 35,000 people killed, most of them women and children, according to local health officials.
