Personal experience with the EG smokes. 1. Wait for it to start smoking before you throw. They have a flame igniter to start the "cold burn" reaction. If you pull the pin and toss it like a frag, there's a chance the igniter will fall out or that the flame will cause a real fire. 2. Most airsoft fields disallow the white and black smokes because it's hard to tell if it's a smoke grenade or an actual fire because of the point above. In a tactical environment, you don't want confusion because something unrelated in the AO caught fire. 3. Blue, red, and orange work in a woodland area, and the other colors are good in less dence areas. Go over in the mission briefing, what color is a signal, and what color is concealment.

1. You toss a smoke not throw it like a frag. 2. For the applications of civilian militia, rules of the airsoft field won't be a concern. 3. For mission briefing it is part of the 5 paragraph order to go over signals. If you are planning without even roughly using that format, you are asking for trouble in my experience. Missions mean working with people. Coordinating people requires choreography, timing, and cues. Over all, good feedback
