Yes, this kind of photography is beautiful. I love the pink. About a year ago I did a shoot like this with a friend of my. We had blue granades. We woke up extremely early and went to a pond. At 6 in the morning she walked into the pond with a dress until the water and lilypads had reached her belly, and it was just a little above 0 degrees! It was so cold, but the photo’s turned out beautiful and it was definitely worth the effort. Have a nice day, greetings from the Netherlands

Hey, thanks! That sounds epic! I'm hoping to do a larger scale shoot with smoke grenades later in the year once all this COVID-19 madness has calmed down. Thanks for checking out the video!
Great to hear the pitfalls too...they matter! Love the end result :)

It was! Hopefully we'll get to try it out again in a future video
Why don’t you try Holi powder? Just an idea, but you get the colour, but a lot more controllable.

Holi powder is something that I want to try out for sure! In this instance though, I just didn't want to get our model covered in power, so I decided that smoke bombs were the better option for that. 😁

@@TomCalton Not to mention it is poison for camera & lens... If you have and old Canon DSLR with a cheap 50/1.8 for the shot of your life (okay, year) to spare, it´s definitely worth it :) You can even dive in, shoot from beyond etc.
