I know the tournament should be watched live. But for the sake of getting Smite and its tournaments become more popular and get more noticed by players, I think the channel should make more edit of these matches highlights, and get Hirez to put a link on the in-game menu so that players can watch those highlights more often => they will pay more attention to the tournament. The highlights are good => players tend to go check for the team or players in highlights and start support them.

Unfortunately smite is dying. The matchmaking is bad for new players. They got caught up in games with veteran players in 5 man stacks. They got stomped on and get roasted. I am a veteran player and I see this time and time again. I told my little brother to download smite. By level 5 he was thrown with sweats because there isn't enough new players. This is why I only play assault because the people there are usually just having fun and it's just a vibe.

@@neuroticisim9173 yes. I have played since 2015. It’s sad to see this. I hope Hirez has plan to make an upgrade for the game. The fact that new players can’t find match and got no real help from the dev is making a endless circle. Newbie can’t find match under lv30 unless they got an oldbie to party with => can’t find match = quit game/ continuously versus oldbie = quit game => less and less newbie into the game => back from the start I live in Vietnam, Smite has already been dead in Asia for years, yet there are still many people want to try the game. That’s why I create a discord for my own country players to support them. Over 1500 players has join my discord since 2020, but only about 30-40 of them can stick to the game because of many reasons. So I think the only way to get more new players and keep them with Smite now is making an upgrade of Smite in both graphic and server, then make a PR campaign for it like a new game, maybe co-operate with some gaming company to help release and manage the game (do marketing, run server, adding more languages, making short trailer/movie…) in other areas outside of NA is better

I haven't played SMITE or watched a tournament since the early days and the fact that people still chose a majority of the same gods makes me wonder if the new gods are even played.

Dont take my word, but in my opinion ghe newer gods have come out strong as SHIT, stomp for a little, then get nerfed to MID. Both Clio and Tsukuyomi come to mind. Idk if this correlates to spl tho

@@JustMeRon it’s the same in the pro scene. You’ll see Clio and tsuk get played every game then after the nerds become unplayable. Clio was so strong they played her solo until the nerfs rolled through
