Would put gem of iso and hastened ring far into utility personaly. People only really build them for their passives, not raw damage at all

Agreed. Pythags, soul gem, gem of iso, staff of myrdin, book of the dead, and hastened ring are built for the passive or utility stats.

I haven’t been playing much lately and with boots gone my brain with item building has turned into mush slightly so having a visual representation of item alignment helps a lot! I know most placements of items but some of them I struggle figuring out which to get before and it’s been messing up my overall performance recently. Thanks for the help! Much appreciated! It’s weird thinking that something as simple as removing boots throws off a build flow a little.

Stacking items are weird in this ranking style, because you buy them early, but they're only good once you get the stacks and get to late game. It makes sense with the list, but it's kinda strange seeing it next to Bancroft even though they're complete opposites haha

I would Love to see This as a reoccurring thing. Where u do it every 6-10 patches to help new or people who came back

Charon's Coin, I find, gets good use on bruiser mages played in the Solo lane as your third item after a Starter and something like Breastplate of Valor to get defense and cooldown reduction online. It is % Magical Penetration, but it is also *20%* Magical Penetration which is kinda nutty. The enemy only needs to have 75 Magic Resist for that to break even with all of the 15 flat Penetration magic items in the Focus tree, Divine Ruin and Spear of the Magus and all that, and if they're actively building huge amounts of Magic Resist in the form of Genji's Guard, Pestilence, Bulwark of Hope, etc. then it can be a huge help in punching through that to keep winning trades. Bonus points if you're kinda rolling their team and you start making really effective midgame rotations. Depending on the match-up, you can probably similarly get away with it earlyish on in a traditional midlaner build. I dunno. I know this is hella late for this vid, but I definitely see it get used more than like, Pythagorem's Piece for example.

Loved this video. Only complaint is telkhines ring is built super duper early right now. A lot of people will run telkhines ring either before ring of Hecate or right after ring of Hecate and it feels bad putting it so late :(

Honestly half these items are in the wrong place, I feel like he doesn't actually play mages or the guardians that use these items. It is weird because usually his videos are on point but this one is off.

In short you need to know what you’re aiming to do late game to know what to build early game, aside from soul gem. always buy soul gem. Life steal, burst damage, burst heal, cooldown, bit of power. Never not build it unless you know exactly what you’re doing. Also stacking items are a must on a tank buster build.

Sentinels Embrace, Gauntlet of Thebes, Soul Gem, Phisical/Magical chestpiece, Gem of Isolation, physical/magical chestpiece. This is my favourite Artio build and it works pretty well with other guardians.

I put a lot in dmg because i dont know what Utility is .. i mean divine and gem?? Almost asclepius? Ofc you use them for the passives

Penetration isn't utility it's basically just damage

I'll be honest, why do you consider cdr to be utility, then put staff of myrdin as a damage item, when all it is super reduced cdr after your ult is casting. What kind of double standard is that? Also is a slow not utility? Define utility.

CDR is a damage stat. It's a dps stat not direct damage but still a damage stat, he really messes up this video.

You can make it with six Squares like in the game ans say that will be good your three or four item and that will make your work so easy.

I have an idea if you are interested in making more of these charts. How about characters that are meta/ non-meta versus how much you enjoy their kit/play style?

Coin doesn’t deserve that much hate mate. Some of us like the items that don’t make 100% sense to get. Flat pen looses value as the game goes on, but % pen just ramps up in value. Its an investment. Then again i’m also one who gets Shield of Regrowth on Chronos for his 3rd item so maybe i’m just a little broken upstairs

Wishing the spread was raw power vs utility, seeing as you can call pen damage when really it’s a counter to protections, base or not, which I’d call more utility. Same with the items that give you speed. Yeah they give some good damage but you really want the utility that sets them apart From all the rest of the items.

I feel like you don't really understand Charon's coin. Its a percentage pen item that adds utility as you get kills or assists. You say you get all the stats upfront from Obsidian shard but honestly the upfront Charon's coin stats are about the same. A little less magic power for Mp5 and Hp5 and then you add more hp5 and movement speed over time. I like it at 4th slot(not counting starter), since you don't need either percentage pen item until later. And at that point you should be into team fights more and stacking it quickly, with only 8 stacks. It is kind of like Rage imo, you typically want a few items online to make the stacking easier into team fights, unless you are one of those people who rush rage 2nd item on merc.

Fr his argument for charons makes no sense. People still build prots in early-midgame. It gives power, HP5, MP5 and movespeed which are like the most important stats early on mages Like if Charons had 10% CDR it would be the perfect mage item

Chronos pendant having more utility than ethereal and gem of isolation kinda bugs me tbh

WTF, doom orb is not a early game stacking item. You just grab stacks off minions and then fight. Its price and power and stats are late game.

You buy (used to buy) cursed early. Thats most likely the train of thought. Whereas Zoom Orb you complete late game.

Hey, so I would suggest not starting this video without the background knowledge of what an item actually entirely does (Ring of Hecate). It is hard to take the video seriously if it seems like you didn't take the time to prepare for it. I am a long-time viewer so don't take this poorly, but as actual feedback.

this vid is super off... how is pen considered utility in the case of obsidian shard. Thats just silly. Not to mention how skewed it is towards the dmg half. Wouldnt it make infinitely more sense to make a more relative list where items are more evenly spread?

Therefore it would still make a lot more sense to spread the items evenly and then just assume that even despite their utility they also provide some dmg. Whats the point of jamming 5 items on top of each other when you could just make a relative list instead.

I actually really don't like Rod of Asclepius. I've felt for a long while that they needed to bring all the Healing based items into 1 tree and make them defensive based items only. It would open up the trees to have new items that feel like they have better synergy as well as put all the healing stuff in one area to find better. I kept forgetting that there is Lotus Crown which would have been very useful when I was getting diamond Sylvanus.

@@suppmydiff3257 I don't think it would ruin the items. All except Rod of Asclepius is already defensive. New items don't have to be added but there would be a space if needed. At least a healing section on the buy page to find them better is needed.
