Not really, it keeps Lancelot still for about 1 second while he turns 180 to run the opposite direction, from the looks of the Patch notes Lancelot has slower turning on the horse as it moves to align with where the player is facing if they move the camera too fast. Most gods can turn around without an ability, Awilix can do it while mounted at the player's camera speed with no issue she only suffers from strafe speed while mounted

I have the feeling that he'll get played solo a lot just from the fact that he'll benefit so much from being a bruiser or tank

Idk without substain he needs cc immunity but he don't have goods ones. For ex Arthur spin2win have by default a lot of cc immunities cu cu have a leap and a ult bead

Love this reveal but how on earth did the animators get the jousting scene so wrong? They're on wrong side of the fence and the shields made pointless because of that. Jousting is done so the fence is on the horses left side, not right

@@ianrocco8453 I have done jousting myself and part of medieval reenactment. We host international jousting events too. Shield left side, Lance right and you pan it over during the canter. It’s what the jousting shield is for. When’s it’s on the outer side it’s pretty pointless

@@milkman5031 ravana used to be a warrior but everyone played him assasin so they changed his stats a bit and made him one.

Fun fact, a French writer long ago either created Lancelot or at least claimed and rewrote him to fit the popular trend of courtly love for the time. The writer pretty much made him “super best boy OC who can do no wrong”.

We're Knights of the Round Table. We dance whene'er we're able. We do routines and chorus scenes With footwork impeccable. We dine well here in Camelot. We eat ham and jam and spam a lot.

Looks more like a warrior to me with all that cc and shields. Boi oh boi can wait to play him solo with glad shield babyyyy

I need to get back into Smite

To be honest, they should've considered Izanagi; the husband of Izanami. He created Amaterasu, Tsukiyomi, and Susano'o after bathing to purify himself after escaping the underworld when he attempted to restore Izanami, but rang away in fear after seeing her undead state. Shinto is an interesting Pantheon, and I wish Smite focused a little bit on it.

looks super broken, crazy movement on both sets of abilities which also do damage, a knock up/back, a bellona ult for his mounted 2, and his actual ult is nuts too. why do some gods have the most padded kit and can do everything?

I think Gawain will probably be a Guardian if he gets added. Make use of that Green Knight belt for some hella durable support. And I suspect we'll eventually get Tristan, wielder of Failnaught- for the Arthurian Hunter.

I'm pretty sure all Gods have Quick Turn without it using up an ability slot. It's called "Move Camera". Then again, he has 6 abilities already, so it's fine.

Yeah thats some pretty solid mobility. It's literally a juke button because that was hella quick. Hirez could easily do a lot of things with a lot of characters but "small things" like that make a huge difference gameplay wise. Also he already has pretty great mobility, giving him another ability to hit you with would've been way too much. He looks hella fun to play.

My biggest annoyance is the fact that he cannot stay mounted while fighting except his ult. Literally both dismount him, I don't understand why his 1 wasn't a cavalry charge like his ult for less damage/range/no cripple setup. Edit: In hindsight it would be cool but with how stupid people have been playing him to X ("oh he's got the whole mounting shield, lets burn our kits on it") even a simple line charge would be insane.

@@justvee1835 It's not really a Juke button he's turning 180 degrees while being still in place for about 1 second as he turns, most gods can do this already without an ability, even Awilix can quick turn with just the player camera. It's just Lancelot is forced to deal with a slower turning because the horse has to try to align to the player's camera if they move it to fast

@@hudosjdicicidi this. Like he has no basic, and every ability dismounts him which just makes the stance feel pointless to me. As you say. His 1 should have been a short charge while staying on the horse also making it a good mobility tool. And I'd have said his mounted 2 should have been the horse rearing up to kick the opponent similar to Gilgamesh's dropkick as some kind of keepaway. But that probably wouldn't be "assassiny" enough
