Finally Chinese pantheon has their leader. Like Norse has Odin and Greek has Zeus. i was wondering where was the Jade Emperor all this time? Lol and he's finally added to Smite.

So some Pantheons have their own leaders. I’m trying to figure out which leads them, since there so many groups with powerful individuals. It’s a challenge to see which one is in charge.

Passive that builds as you fight and adds effects to abilities First ability does damage, and reduces protection, in a weird shape Second ability, does damage in a line and builds passive Third ability is a leap with a twist, Ult is a line with a knock back Feels like the kind of god you'd have made a year or two ago. And i like that

played him for the first time ever without looking at his kit beforehand, and didn't die a single time. His crowd control and escape potential is actually a breath of fresh air.

I finished Elden Ring a few days ago. I'll wait a bit until the hype dies down for Yu Huang before trying him out. And I hope the nerfs are worth it lol. I noticed a lot of people are complaining about it.

the 3rd ability isn't actually "chasing"... it's just a slow moving knockback.

a simple but varying kit, that's what we love to see! the ultimate is stunning i can only imagine the skins and how awesome the dragons will look

Interesting that this trailer talks about a "Demon King" that Yu Huang defeated, because based on what I read in the lore scroll of the first chapter of the Divine Light event, it sounds like that Demon King is trying to find a way to come back. Mulan, Sun Wukong, and Zhong Kui just fought a huge amount of demons in that scroll, and one of them mentioned the Demon King before it was killed. So it sounds like he wants Round Two with Yu Huang.

I tried it just now...it's definitely an interesting mage. His 3 is damn useful though.. Every time I used Thana ulti on him Yu Huang used 3 and got away... His 2 is a bit ...jumpy. You need to aim really well with it against an enemy, just like 4. His 2 is definitely the most important ability ( you will want to max it out first for wave clear ) and his 1 makes a good combo with 2 and 4 ...his 3 is a debatable.. I couldn't use it that much for combat because I got ganked a lot by enemies..soo.. yeah. This is Yu Huang.

A bit of his kit reminds me of old wa (ie some basic attack synergies, his 1 is the fire burst like old wa 3) and i wonder if that was intentional.

Unpopular opinion: not every god needs a cinematic reveal. I miss the days where every god was given a specific (usually their most popular) story that establishes their lore and character and what role they played in their respective pantheon rather than just a vague explanation of who they are and how they tie into the Smite lore. Like, how do the dragons and the Phoenix fit into his lore? How did he become the emperor? How did he master the dao? Why did he have to at all? Not to say the trailers aren't visually appealing, but a character's lore was the biggest reason I fell in love with smite and why I stayed playing in the first place. It just kinda seems like the magic is lost

Seems I am abit too late for the party, but here it goes. I am a chinese dude who prays in chinese temples and likes to study chinese myths. lets break down Yu Huang lores shall we. - So you gotta first understand, way back before the Song dynasty, there is no Yu Huang. It was being told by a Song emperor to strengthen his imperial position. The Song emperor claims a Heavenly Authority visit his dream and gave him the mandate of heaven. So what exactly inspires him? The idea of the king of god, Indra sakra from Buddhist hindu religion. Not much lore until the later chinese folk religion based his rule like the ones on earth. and so the myths spreads. - In chinese culture, dragon and phoenix are symbols of royalty, dragon for the emperor, phoenix for the empress( it also use to describe the perfect couple and the pinnacle of male and female adulthood). So not much lore to based on these 2 Regal creatures. - Since Yu Huang is the Emperor of the 3 realms ( heaven, earth and underworld) he must that all powerful dude who knows the way. So that explains his Dao stacking abilities - The fact he defeats powerful demon, he is a prince who chose cultivation, that was all just folklore - Hirez better be launching a birthday skin for Yu Huang on the 8th day of chinese new year cuz that is his birthday

Yu Huang is also Indra of everything in the Kāmaloka (World of Desire). Humans like me or you can become this person if we do good things after many karmic cycles, and there is an infinite amount of Yu Huangs in the multiverses (based on Buddhist/Hinduist cosmology). China has adopted these Buddhist views for thousands of years. It is in the Sanjiao systems, where Buddhism is on top. Today, Buddhists are easily overwhelming and more powerful than traditional folk worships.

What people fail to see is the reason why the mage pool is so large is because they are a counterpart to 2 physical classes, whereas guardians just has 1. I get people don't like mages for a lot of reasons, but then they release guardians and people say they don't do enough damage or they release a new adc or assassin and people complain about the kits design or something else lmao 🤦🏻

I've waited YEARS for this man to come out sorry Daji, chang'e, and Hou yi cuz Yu Huang bout to be my knew favorite baby.

2 cc immunitys on a mage? Of which one is untargetable. I mean I kinda like the kit but I feel like 2 cc immunitys + beads will just make him a nightmare to deal with in team fights, as he's gonna absorb way more resources, especially on guardian/warrior side.
