That’s so funny 😂. I’ve been trying to clean out my freezer today and happened upon two old Gortons Fisherman’s filets. They were a little freezer burnt, but I baked them real crispy and put them in a bun with plenty of tartar sauce. 😋… not too bad. My next door neighbor used to dip smelt at Castle Rock every year. It only took him a few minutes to limit, but a good 4 plus hours drive from Tacoma each year 😂. Better luck next time ! Thanks for sharing 😉👍🏼

I like to review my video right after I post it. The commercial that came on was the fillet of fish from McDonalds. That made my day.

We hit up Riverside Park, no luck so we went up to Castle Rock, still nothing and stopped off at Gearhart Gardens on our way back. There we finally saw some sea lions in the middle of the river but no one was catching any smelt there either. Only bright spot of our day was at ilani on our way back home.

That's more fish than we saw all day. We ended up with none after hitting up three different locations on the river.

Perhaps the Moon Phase and tides are wrong , Mother Nature can be a real MOTHER sometimes pity your weather and fishing report didn't include possible birds with a chance of seals with some chance of smelt later in the month. Cheers Mate , They will come in the night I reckon.

Yup, drove 7 hours yesterday to try experience it. Got maybe a lb.
