You just gotta adore Jimmy Chamberlains beautiful air moving powerful drumming. My favourite drummer of all time. The Pumpkins just don't work without him. And that is by no means a slight on Billy. Those two dudes are intertwined! Great gig!

This is by far the BEST Smashing Pumpkins live performance that I've ever witnessed!! I've seen them 8 times in concert and NEVER have they sounded so good as they do here. You can tell from the opening song "Today" that Billy Corgan picked up on some good energy from the first string he hit. Flawless performance by the entire band and to top it off Uli Jon Roth killed it at the end with his accompaniment with the band's encore performance!

Great show. No matter the configuration this band is not firing on all cylinders without Jimmy. Swap bass players fine... swap the other guitar player.. still... ok fine. I prefer orginal lineup but ok... it's basically the same thing. However, the Smashing pumpkins are not the Smashing Pumpkins without Billy Corgan + Jimmy Chamberlain. Period. He adds so much here. The band is locked in here. Without Jimmy it just doesn't swing right.

There's a certain feel that JC brings to the music. I've heard some great recordings of late Mellon Collie-era shows with Matt Walker, but the fact Billy ultimately brought him back every time he's tried to do it without JC says something.

I was thinking along the same lines. Smashing Pumpkins is Billy and Jimmy with whomever you pair them with. They are both irreplaceable in this band. When together with whomever they produce such a big, beautiful sound, so happy to have seen them a few times over the years. Just a great rock band.
