My garmin venu 2 is going strong now for 2 years. As someone who wants to detach from my phone, the venu is perfect and notifies me of any work email or pings, but doesn't have the unnecessary features such as a mic and speaker, which results in me getting 10 days of battery life.

Got me a Garmin Venu Sq2 about a month or two ago. It's Android compatible, stylish, got smartphone notifications, GPS is accurate for runs, and it tracks multiple activities, monitors your sleeping activity, battery last 10 days and charges up to 100% very quickly. For an avid casual runner and soccer/football player who's into gym, this is it for me. Plus the price is killer.

Most smartwatches give you an option of setting the wrist on which you want to wear your watch. Is there a difference in the hrm accuracy and step accuracy when you wear ot on on one wrist vs the other?

Thank you Lexi for your uplifting spirit and disposition. I am looking for a watch that has a display of time with seconds, all the time. I do not need it for sports, just time, sleep monitoring, pulse, etc. It could be a hybrid. Any suggestions?

You are definitely not the first person who has asked me that question over the years and I’m still trying to find a good option! Always on displays generally don’t show seconds to save battery. Most hybrid watches I know of also don’t have a second hand either. I’d look into Withings watches further to see if maybe you could use the little display as a second counter

It should come down to accuracy if your are health conscious. This is the same for productivity focused people. The Apple watch is the only watch that is comparable to the Polar 10, which is the gold standard in Heart Rate and fitness data. No, watch comes close.

Hey Lexi, I've seen Samsung watched with a blood pressure monitor outside of the US but it seems like they don't have approval for America. Will that be added on later to the 6 classic? Which would be the best for also tracking Blood Pressure if I'm on a Samsung Galaxy phone? Thanks and keep up the good work ❤

I have both the Apple Watch Ultra and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic; both work well with their respective ecosystem but I think the Apple Watch Ultra takes the cake as the smart watch king (like a true smart watch, not something you just get notifications and has no full app support like my Garmin, which is a different category). I notice and have seen from different sources that the sensors on the GWC6 is just… bad like super inaccurate. There’s a whole video that breaks it down.

@e3vL1 Your suggestion is fine. But taking it off and putting it on so frequently hits the pain point of wearables. The main point is to leave it on and only take it off at the end of the day to maybe get a charge. Don't you agree that it's easier to take a device out of your pocket rather than unbuckling something of your wrist? I feel like smartwatches nowadays act like a "extension" of the phone experience. Such that u don't have to take out your phone everytime for simpler stuff like notifications or workouts etc.

Most fitness trackers work well with iPhones as well; I would not mix and match different manufacturers watches and phones even on Android, reduced battery life and lack of features. I guess you can do it if you really want but that’s like when Samsung tried to allow iOS users to use Galaxy watches on their iPhone, it worked but it was just a mess.

You do not need any of these. The motivation to do exercise is intrinsic. A watch is not going to give the push to do actual exercise to anybody. A watch will only show the number of steps taken without doing dedicated exercise activity and people will grow more content to avoid exercise.
