Smart Fortwo hatchback review - CarBuyer

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Full review: www.carbuyer.co.uk/reviews/sma...
If you're strictly a city driver, then the Smart ForTwo could be the perfect choice. The unusual looks make it a head-turner, while its minuscule dimensions mean it's incredibly easy to park. It's as wide as it is long, so you can even leave it parked at right angles to the kerb!

Had my little diesel for just shy of eight years, covered nearly 110,000 miles, been totally reliable, it gets me through my 75 mile daily commute, cheap to run, cheap servicing costs, insurance is a little hi, probably due to my job, it's not perfect, but it's a great little motor, I'll keep it till it dies or becomes uneconomical to keep

For everyone saying these cars aren't safe(as of mk2 and after) do some research. The Tridion safety cell, as well as the side head and thorax air bags make this vehicle as safe, if not safer than most cars in its class, as well as classes above it.

I own a smart car and have driven all over New South Wales, Australia at 110 km/h all day and have had no problems. Ok it's only 1 litre TURBO and runs on the smell of an oily rag. I owned a 6 cylinder Holden Calais and no one ever sat in the back and the wife only ever sat in the passenger seat on the odd occasion, she has her own car, and I thought why am I driving this 2 ton car? Get something smaller, now I fill up once a month for my normal drive to work. It's a great car for city and country driving

I just bought one , mine is a 2009 ForTwo and it has 49K miles and I love it! This tiny car saves me alot of money in gas and has paid for itself lready. I got rid of my 2007 Chev Silverado Ext. Cab for it. Instead of paying $60.00+ in gas every few days , im only paying $25.00 bi-weekly. And I also have a 2010 Dodge Challenger and I drive the Smart Car more than it! Anybody who has negative things to say about the Smar,t arent very Smart at all!

I was at Mercedes today, got a test drive of the new SL65 AMG and it was amazing. Anyway, i also said to myself "Hey why not get in a smart car" So i did. Actually the Smart interior feels bigger than the interior of the Mercedes A, or even B-Class... Sure there are no rear seats, but i expected to be jammed in the steering wheel and in an uncomfortable position. I pulled the seat back and i felt sort of nice. Headroom is also very good. No idea how it drives... And i don't want to find out.

it is a tongue in cheek, but it is also an ironic remark. Because in nearly all carbuyer reviews, they mention when the seats fall flat for more space. The irony is that you expect logically that the driver's seat cannot fold down, but the remark suggest that it does. But i may be wrong, this word is greek, which is my first language, here it is used in this way.
