Fair analysis of season 10, although I actually loved that season even the ''Harvest' episode. Btw, regarding Chloe's absence for a good chunk of Season 10, as I understand it, it was due to the fact that there was a contract dispute between actress Allison Mack and the studio that started during Season 9. So, having not reached an agreement by the end of Season 9, the studio contemplated writing her off the show, but they kept that option open. And I believe that they decided to shoot many of Allison Mack's Season 10-Episode 1 scenes around the same time they shot the end of Season 9. Shooting those scenes months in advance, in which we see Chloe being prisoner-exchanged for Oliver Queen/Green Arrow, gave the studio the option of possibly writing her off the show if all contractual negotiations fell apart.

In my opinion Chloe should have left the show back in season 6 with Lana. After both Lois and Jimmy started working on the Daily Planet, she didn't really have a reason to be in the show anymore. And for me, it was quite annoying how Jimmy Olsen was sidelined to just being Chloe's BF, when he is known to be one of Clark's best friends.

@@blueboyscout4297 - I disagree. IMHO, Chloe Sullivan was one of the best characters on Smallville. And regarding ‘Jimmy Olsen’, remember the thing is, the ‘Jimmy Olsen’ that appeared starting from Season 6 of Smallville was not the real Jimmy Olsen. That guy was the real Jimmy Olsen’s older brother, whose middle name was Jimmy. We actually met the real Jimmy Olsen at his older brother’s (Chloe’s deceased ex-husband’s) funeral, after he was murdered by Davis Bloome (Doom). Also, DC Comics loved the Chloe Sullivan character so much that it decided to add the character as one of its mainstays in the comics. So, in this situation we witnessed a TV show (Smallville) creating canon in the Superman/DC universe.

@@blueboyscout4297 - And the writers of Smallville did it seamlessly, and brought back the story to its origins with the REAL Jimmy Olsen, as we saw in a flash-forward scene at the Daily Planet. They did a great job with that character.

I liked this season a lot. The introduction of Darkseid was scary especially when Oliver is compromised. I thought Clark and Lois’ wedding was special when Clark takes Lois’s hand and they walked down the aisle together to this incredible song “Breathe Again.” I thought after Clark and Lois got together Lois lost some of her spark. I absolutely hated how Tess was treated in the final episode. You also can see the budgetary issues and the unimaginative writing of certain episodes (example: The blatant The Hangover ripoff.). Regardless of the problems season 10 was decent. Regarding Tom Welling’s refusal to wear the suit. I find that Tom Welling wants his place in regards to the legacy of Superman, but shows a certain disdain for the Superman aspect of the character. During one of the Smallville panels a kid called Tom Welling Superman while asking him a question. Tom corrected the boy and said Clark Kent. I remember thinking, “Why was that necessary? They both the same character.” Someone should ask him about that. 🤨🤨🤨

@@nukritik2933 I just didn't like the shows. They were no good for me except for a few. It; like the writers didn't care. Last season, doesn't matter. Just get something out there. And the finale was a big let down. But I love Smallville. Watch it a lot.
