I have the rhino cage for my Sony a74, can I use this without having to remove the cage?

I am having issues with the connecting plate. I used the screw provided and nothing. And When you start your video it already has the plate. I don’t know how to.
is this suitable for Sony A7C ?
Many thanks for this video. HI have to admit I was totally flummoxed trying to fit this. Even watching your video, initially I had to freeze the video so I could put everything in exactly the same position as shown in the video - finally got there. The actual included instructions from Smallrig are absolutely appalling - the diagrams and the text is minute and I struggled even using a magnifying glass.

Great view Desiree! Question, can you lock the camera in positions other than horizontal and vertical? I'm thinking about getting it for Astrophotography, and it would be great if I could do it as say, 45 degrees?

Yes you can. It can lock in any angle that's in between the horizontal and vertical endpoints.

It may not fit with the battery grip but should fit without it.

You should be able to use the Manfrotto plate from the video head and attach it to the bottom of this adapter to secure it.

It may work if you attach the DJI plate to the bottom of the vertical mount. I haven't tested this combo out yet.
