Great video! I live in a tiny house so my kitchen is small but due to decluttering, everything I need fits. 😊

I have a very small kitchen but thankfully I have enough cabinets to use for what I need. My kitchen, in regard to counter space and such, looks similar to yours in size. I don't have as much walking room as you and don't have a dish washer, but it is similar! It is refreshing to see someone else having a small kitchen!! Go us!

Thanks for a very sensible batch of ideas! I recently really went after the “clear the counters” idea, and discovered that Ikea sells beautiful natural canvas wall pocket panels with elegant “S” hooks and reposition-able separate pouches, that hang from natural wood rods (which I attached UNDERNEATH my cabinets ) near my stove, one 24” run holds cooking tools and the one beyond the sink is slightly folded back on itself to be smaller and holds mixing and serving utensils. These would all have taken up space in two utensil crocks, whereas now they stand in their pockets, neatly against the walls, well up off the counter surfaces. I love how easy to find and grab things are! You really got to a lot of good points and used excellent logic for recommendations with this video. Keep up the inspiring work!

Several years ago, I decided not to replace my toaster oven for our tiny kitchen. I easily toast bread and bagels on my griddle with butter. Haven't had microwave for 15+ years, either.

I use the corner spot for my instant pot. I put the bottom of a cute nightgown to make a cover. Not everyone has another spot to put appliances. I also pared down amount of stuff and keep fewer place settings. I disagree about not having floor mats, but just me and I prefer to not wear shoes, and I am older.

All great ideas. My kitchen is about the same size as yours. I use vertical wall space as well. I have a knife magnet, a wall basket for my tea bags, and I hang my teakwood trivet on the wall when not in use that doubles as wall art.

Hi Elin. You give very good tips to save on kitchen space. The striped top is lovely on you with your hair straight. Amanda x

I have a question! I’ve been following you now for quite some time and always find myself coming back to your content when I’m decluttering, for motivation. One trap that I fell into awhile back was purchasing drawer organizers, plastic bins to put items in, and other little “organization” tools. Looking back, I think that was me feeding my urge to spend without really feeling like I’m bringing more “stuff” in because it was something to put my stuff in. The way my mind tries to work around things is quite funny looking back. Now every time I declutter, I end up finding that I have many empty bins/organizers. For whatever reason, I have a hard time getting rid of them and they just shuffle around my home. It JUST recently hit me that now I’m doing what I used to do with other clutter, with the storage containers. So crazy haha! Do you have any advice when it comes to something like that? Obviously I realize now that each of those items is just another thing to take up mental and physical space. I think it’s the aesthetic or something appealing about every little thing having a home. Thoughts?

It's great video! I wish I would be able to use those tips, but unfortunately I live in a rented flat and I am not allowed to declutter anything :(

Great video! I find thrive market disappointing. Most things I’ve found to be more expensive on thrive. They price things high and put them “on sale” which brings them down to regular grocery store prices.
