Just a great band. Steve had such control over that soaring voice and Ronnie Lane was definitely an underrated writer and musician. I think maybe because the Beatles dominated the scene so much at that time that here in the US this band was largely overlooked. RIP Ronnie and Steve your music will live forever.

Pink Floyd's Syd Barrett and The Small faces appear to have been in part unison around this time in the psychedelically tender touches of Barrett's Bike - The Hungry Intruder partly seeming to give a folk minstrel taste of centuries ago. It's a highlight of Ogden's Nut Gone Flake for me. Of the 12 tracks there are 9 that I really like (including all 6 of the non-conceptual first half) which is pretty good going for any album.
