I was the Road manager for a band called HOOKFOOT thru the late sixties and early seventies. We did a British Tour supporting HUMBLE PIE in 1973. One of the best times that I had! It was around the time of the ‘Power Cuts’ which made it very interesting. One of the Venues we did was South Parade Pier, in Southsea, and we had a Bomb scare! Caused by some ‘Brain Dead’ calling it in because he couldn’t get tickets due to a sellout! Those were the days.

Everything about this performance was incredible and spot on
LOVE in the biggest sense of the vibe✌🏽💗🎸
Stevies energy is stratospheric. Wish he was still among us.
What the world needs now... Even Plant didn't hit the sweet spot that Steve Marriot did. His vocals will haunt the halls of rock and blues forever.

Plant has admitted to modelling his vocal style after Marriott's. He was a big fan from the Small Faces days.

I never cared for Robert Plant. Just imagine being in Humble pie, your contribution would have to be so cool or it’s not in; you’re not in.

Plant, had a great bluesy vibe, but didn't have soulfulness Steve had. Nothing wrong with that. Different singers.
One of the Baddest Soulful Spirits in Music ever!
So soulful that it makes me jump for joy! RIP Steve and Greg. Music was so much better when you guys were still alive
RIP Clydie King (21 August 1943 - 7 January 2019) Thanks for your stellar vocal contributions on hundreds of recordings. You're one of the very best. I treasure the time I was privileged to hear you sing with Dylan on his Shot of Love Tour. Wow. If I could time travel, it would be to hear you and that rockin' show again.

Fantastico. Pezzo stupendo. Fantastico interprete.
I love this song always have done since I saw this Whistle Test way back then.
I am convinced this performance/video is the greatest thing I've ever heard and seen. Amazing! I showed it to my 7 year old brother and now it's his favorite song!
Humble Pie , Thin Lizzy and Deep Purple and Rory Gallagher should be in the Rock n Roll hall of fame
I could watch and listen to this on a loop
Simply stunning!
I'm always blown away by this performance. It's so sexy. Steve's voice is mindboggling and the Blackberries are sublime. So very good. I really miss Steve Marriott.
This literally changed my life as I sat and listened to this four times in a row.
That voice IS rocknroll.
These lovely young ladies knew what was coming and we'd all be blown away..........🤪😎
Scarry good, sends shivers down my spine when I hear this, they were in the zone, some kind of magical performance.

Wonderful. Those girls were tickled to death. All had a great time. It almost seems they forgot they were recording. Just enjoying themselves. That's rock n roll.

My ears cannot believe this is the first time they’re listening to this work of art! So full of soul and sentiment. Amazing. 🙏🏼
I’d have to say that Steve Marriott, Paul Rodgers, and Robert Plant are some of the three of my favorite British rock singers who’s got some soul.
STUNNING
Seen the Pie i believe in 70. Was supposed to go to Woodstock but my brothers didn't get back from Nam at the right time . I miss Steve , what a voice & all around musician , I still go to concerts today to support the great music of these days .

love the way he teasingly gets the best chorus out of the girls, they are so into it, it puts a smile of satisfaction on his face
Stunning, no one on the planet can touch this performance.

Black Coffee Matters!
Steve was a raw but held so much soul. My brother to a defined direction. We really did hold a damn fine vocalist to the time.
Um clássico da Soul Music na voz Impecável de Steve Marriot.....Humble Pie foi uma banda fenomenal!!!!
Deliciosa canción Steve Marriott exelente viva Humble Pie
"I know it's only rock & roll but i like it."
Humble Pie Forever ...hands down, the hardest rockin' act of the Seventies! their "Performance: Rockin' the Fillmore" is still a major benchmark in concert recording.

I'm only 52 and I always swore I was born a decade too late! This song is a freakin mind blower with that voice. I've loved Humble Pie since the first time I heard 30 days in the hole, and it just gets better from there! Thanks so much for sharing this video!
