For a Manhattan studio you have an AMAZGIN kitchen, a real kitchen and it's fabulous! Excelent layout. Consider yourself VERY very lucky. Great place.

@S H , I'm not an expert but, those plants don't require direct sunlight. The Zz plant is for low light. That's bright light she has not sure of the window direction.

I'm not sure who I like more, her or the apartment. She's fantastic. :-D

She has such a warm and engaging energy, and I love how much character her apartment has... she really made the space her own.

I love how she incorporated plants and the wood pieces. That green chair adds a great pop of color

I love the combo of green furniture, plants, rotan and wood. Even if it's cluttered it is still a calm space. Good combo for a maximalist in a small apartment

It is absolutely not cluttered!

I like that her kitchen and bathroom are so far away from the living room area and gives a more cozy feel to the place. She has a sweet personality and she clearly has a great sense of who she is and what she loves poured into her little place. Cheers to a better year for all!

I like that too. My apartment is about the same size with a similar layout except my bathroom is adjacent to my living area. I wish it were tucked away behind the kitchen like in her apartment or off a foyer, which I wish my apt had to add some separation between my living room and front door.

Her apartment layout its huge for NYC. Thats the main point. Normally the kitchen its together with the main living space. Thats the game change point thats made the difference.

That's not always true. There are lots of places in New York City where the kitchen is separate, though tiny.

@@samanthashev It looks bigger because the lay out is unusually good. The kitchen and bathroom on one end and the living area on the other. Taking out the kitchen door opens up the space and makes it brighter. Very well put together with not too much furniture or too minimalist.

I like the kitchen being separate. It allows the rest of the space real character.

KC’s apartment gives me hope☺️however I’m just now reading she moved to Brooklyn and has a larger space with roomies! I’m happy for her, but I still wished she had kept this apartment cuz it was her own, didn’t have to share a thing with anybody! It’s just something calming about having your own space, just having serenity in such a chaotic world! Her apartment was so🧘🏻‍♀️

Her personality is dope and her place is dope. I could feel the peace in her space

This is about decor but so much more!! I love how she claims her space & is confident in taking up that space, claiming it as her own. Size, budget, location does not matter. This sweet video speaks to more than just decor. 🥰

NYC is pretty old for the americas, but apartments in bohemia are much older and different looking

I love the way she explains “chasing the after feeling” that sums up so much of how I feel about decorating. Not just much space but for others as well!

Actually the kitchen feels open. You might fit a small low table in front of the green chair. Put two cushions on the floor as dining chairs. You are a healthy and lovely young lady. Your friends are lucky! Two wood carvings above the bed match very well with your tv stand!

Absolutely love what she has done with the apartment. It looks so cozy and warm. Just a perfect space.

I'm currently in the middle of a major purge, organization, cleaning, and redecorating of a similarly sized and laid out apartment and find your video inspirational! I like how you didn't go the super minimalist sparse decor in which everything is white or off-white route with modular multi-functional furniture. Some argue the need to hyper-maximize open space and use pale colors to make the space appear more spacious, but that comes at a cost of a boring looking space that's uncozy. It also would get annoying to constantly need transform furniture for different uses.

She did a great job her place looks even bigger after all her Furniture & plants are put in !!! I lived in a studio apt in NYC in Chelsea for Nine years !!! I had a fire place which came in super handy during the winters !!! Mine was in a brownstone with a front yard !!! Loved it !!! Have a great time and stay safe !!!

I’m about to move into a 500sq ft apartment in Portland and I was very concerned I wouldn’t be able to do much with it. Love your statement that you really have to know yourself. So true! Like why do we have things that don’t bring us purpose? I’m fairly excited to be more of a minimalist.

I feel like the shape of the room is so good it makes up for the lack of space. Separate kitchen is good too! I'd say get a platform bed to store things under it. She could honestly even do a loft bed and add her couch under it to have more floorspace, but what she's done and her layout is lovely.

I like the idea of the platform bed, very good idea!I also had a studio apartment and tried the loft bed thing with couch underneath for a couple years. I had to remove it because it was blocking the light and making the studio look crammed and less "airy". I believe what she did is the best configuration in order to make it feel both spacious and full of light.

@@barney_huzi3622 I have a platform bed because I live in a house with no closets, so we use it under the bed for storage of out of season clothing, linens, etc. They are the best! You just add a dust ruffle and you don't see it.
