    I totally agree. Small bikes can be beautiful and are loads of fun. The Suzuki SP125 I owned still holds special place in my memory, not only because I had to take it apart and clean every bit of it, then repaint and add new parts here and there but because it was just happy fun to ride. I never expected it to go 100 kph, so when I did hit that speed now and again, I was surprise. I never expected it to climb certain hills, so when I did, I was surprised. All those surprises just made it more fun and it brought out the kid in me over and over.

    Quoted from small engine bike builder Janus Motorcycles: "The spirit of motorcycling is best understood on a small, lightweight machine" - probably some truth to that. Enjoyed seeing these fine examples of small displacement cafe racers.

    Yes, indeed I like riding my small Kawa Estrella. Everytime I think about getting a bigger one, I go for a ride and come to the conclusion: "Naaah, it`s still enough!" Change the handlebars and the Estrella looks like a BSA Goldstar. Beautiful and such a joy to ride. Ride safe everyone!

    I have a soft spot for 125cc, it's the playfulness and the carelessness of these machines combined with beauty and design, it doesn't surprise me he's from Vietnam, i know a guy from China building 125cc Cafe Racers and doing quite well (Churchill customs) . Thumb's up on this video 👍😆 now i'm going to watch the video again hahaha .

    I had seen several projects from Vietnam and Indonesia in the Internet based on small displacement motorcycles, all very interesting. I loved them all. I myself having gone from 650 cc motorcycle the Kawasaki KLR to the small 200cc Pulsar NS I can appreciete how much fun these little machines are. However to me was a great discovering this Duong Doan manufacturer who had not heard a thing until today and his wonderful works with small and utilitarian bikes. Especially the Suzukis GNs that are in abundance here in Mexico and in other countries where this type of motorcycle were used as working horse in several task such as pizza delivery. Great video my friend and last but not least the kind of project that I loved so much, being myself an average working man, means "on budget" kind of project. Un fuerte abrazo.

    very nice to see that you made a (beautiful as usual) video about these little cafe racers. I'm a (not so proud) owner of a gn125 that is turning into somewhere between (pocket) cafe racer and street tracker. I'm desperate of having a bigger bike (personal and local economics, and a growing family are distracting me from that), but in the meantime, I'm enjoying this one, riding and (little)transforming it. The real and obvious drawback of mine is the top speed, especially because I have to do some little speedway between home and main city (Caracas). Thank you again for making this beautiful video and for not being something like "racist" about little one cafe (hehe). another veeeery important and fun thing to do with your videos is to read comments of people from around the world. cheers.

    Thank you for providing another entertaining video. To my taste, it is the best one for a while. The designs have a more classic and elegant form especially the first GN 125. With small bikes, they do not have to contort the design around a motor which, in essence, is (unfortunately and usually) designed for engineering rather than aesthetic purposes. The bikes look great and you are absolutely correct in that they are more fun to ride. The bigger the bike, the more serious the fun becomes. Well done mate. The only criticism I have is that the tyres are overdone, both in function and in how they blend into the style but some people like this style at the moment. I prefer the original tyres.

    I agree.. even before you said that this look amazing... i know already this(the GN 125) is the look i'm looking for.... not only the combination of size to make it look big... but also the color scheme which I really like.... its modest and looks classy... as compared to most of the custom small cafe racer bikes here in malaysia they usually try really hard to look "radical" and bratty.. they usually make flat seats , it looks unfinished to me... when i look at this GN 125 cafe by Duong Doan it just gives out the calm look,maybe its the use of white...while not being funky by using light sky blue colors... its not inline with my real motivation to ride a cafe which is "stroll" around places and i dont intend to look like im coming from a biker gang

    RACER TV btw is that yourself making the voice over?

  • @RACER_TV

    @RACER_TV

    +BlackTop It seems you aren't aware about that, but here's the truth. This voice isn't real. It's created by software. I use this "robotic" voice, because i'm Portuguese, and my bad english accent (and voice), can ruin the documentary character that i like for my videos. I already tried a real american voice in one of my videos, but things didn't worked as i expected. Curiously, the robotic voice sounds very good for all non english natives. Cheers.

    +RACER TV what?! for real? haha...it would have been really badass if you sounded like that, and I was also curious because you'd have to hire someone to do a voiceover with that voice lol... It sounds real to me except for some of the repetition of intonation at the end of some of the sentence... The intonation somehow made your video into that theme too..

    +RACER TV l I really enjoy your videos! No matter how good the bikes are that are featured by the big cafe/custom internet sites - I always long to see and hear them in action like you do. I recently finished a low budget cafe racer conversion on a '81 Suzuki GSX250. I have some DSLR photos and a riding/action video of it. Was wondering how you source the info for your videos?

    Dave Coetzee Thank you for your kind words. After ocasional researches on the web, i usually pick the bikes that i really love, or which has some special and unique features, that can be useful for most Cafe Racer enthusiasts. Very rarely i pick a bike that someone suggested. But you can try. Send me a picture by message on Racer TV Facebook page. Cheers.

    Olá! Há já mais de um ano, que sou um seguidor assíduo destes excelentes videos. Parabéns pelo excelente trabalho. Ainda por cima feito por alguém da Maia que inclui boas passagens por ruas maiatas e de Silva Escura, embora eu sendo tripeiro tenho muitas recordações dessas paragens. A propósito eu sou também paciente da mesma doença, possuo uma BMW grande cc com 130cv mas também com alguns projectos de menor capacidade em cm3 para converter em cafés ou scramblers, pelo que o canal Racer TV é um dos subscritos e de visualização obrigatório. Fico muito contente que goste dos videos, e assim espero continuar a vê-lo por aqui. :) Um abraço.

    You are welcome my friend. My pleasure. To be honest, i think is better to sell your bike, and buying something older and cheaper, and then making the project as you want. It is not impossible to make a cafe racer with that bike, but it will require a lot of changes and money to make it look good. :) Cheers.

    In India most of the bikes are 100cc and above 150cc are big engines for us. Most of the bikes even 150 cc makes around 12 HP. compared to bike you have shown which are 15 hp are pretty good.
