next time you run out of brown sugar: if you have white sugar and molasses you can take 1 Cup reg sugar and 1TBS molasses for light brown and 2 TBS molasses for dark brown. mix well and you have your brown sugar!

I do The Market Elaine in Wesley Chapel. We get great traffic of people just as long as the weather isn't super toasty. Otherwise, alot wait for the weather to cool down & come out. This past Friday was crazy hot. Glad my candles survived!

I'm in that vendor display group and also thought that post had a lot of red flags (as far as the event runner, not the poster) - hopefully that person didn't end up doing it! My theory is, if it's that expensive, and local-ish, I need to have heard of it before because if it's not reaching me - who is always on the lookout for events - then it's not reaching enough people to be worth it. I also have my first multi day outdoor event soon and I'm so anxious about it 😅 thankfully it's 30 min away though so I get to go home at least!

She told me she ended up passing on it thank goodness!! I couldn't imagine ASKING a vendor to do your event and then expecting that amount for the booth fee!! It does seem very scammy maybe I'll go over there on the 4th and see what the deal is and ask everyone there what they paid lol. I agree if I haven't heard of it and it's supposed to be that big that's odd because like you I am constantly on the lookout for events and part of a ton of local Facebook groups so if it's not been mentioned it seems a little sus! I hope you event goes so well and stay hydrated lol!!

I definitely think pricing is a tough one, I feel like I price my things veryyyy reasonably and typically don't have too many people try to haggle or low ball me. I feel like earlier on in my market journey I had a few people try to get some sort of deal from me but not too much recently. I've done some markets where I felt the other vendors were potentially selling things for more than I think people would be willing to pay for things but I do believe in the whole the right customer will pay your price but I do try to price things in a way I would think is fair as a customer, even though this may be giving me lower margins.

$500 for 5 hours? That's wildddd! Not a chance!
