Small Block Chevy 350 TEARDOWN! 100K Sub Special! Shop Tour, Announcements & I Open My Play Button!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Welcome to a VERY special 100,000 Subscriber Special! This hour + long video not only has a complete teardown of a tired old small block Chevrolet 350 V8, but a shop and lot tour, details about how the channel operates, where the channel will go from here, some announcements and more!
My name is Eric and I own and run a full service auto salvage business called Importapart. Part of our model is dismantling core and blown up engines and selling usable and serviceable parts from them. At this point there are over 50 teardown videos from many makes! Please, check out the play list: • Blown Up Engine Tear D...
If you'd like to buy parts from this engine, or any of the other engines I've torn down, the vehicles in this video, please shoot us an email at Importapartsales@gmail.com.
I cannot explain my gratitude for the amount of support this channel has gotten in such a short period of time! I never expected this, and I am incredibly grateful for it all! So, thank you!
As always, I appreciate all of the comments, feedback and even the criticism.
Return next week for another regularly scheduled teardown! What will it be? Well, you'll just have to wait and find out!
-Eric

Eric, you've hit 100k because you deliver real content with no BS! We jump on here for the same reason we used to turn on the TV-to be entertained and to forget about things for a little while. No politics, no judgements and no virtue signaling. And, we get to learn a thing or two about an engine we prob would've never been able to look into in reality. Plus, you're witty, clever and a lot of fun to watch and listen to. Keep up the good work, you rock!

Your channel has grown the way it has because of your consistency and lack of nonsense. This channel is easy to watch, you're witty, funny and down to earth. You grabbed a niche by taking apart engines. Something i wish I could do, luckily you made a business out of it and you reward yourself by doing so. Your channel is fantastic, and I watch every Saturday. Keep up your good work and it'll grow even more.

And how absolutely down to earth you seem I'm glad randomly I saw the viper v10 teardown pop up on my recommendation. Of all the channels I'm subscribed to, yours is definitly one I anticipate notifications from! I love it man. Also, what a dream job being a dismantler at your shop would be for me. I've been working on cars and building tools up for about 8 years now and it's just nothing but fun turning wrenches and figuring out how things work. Everything I saw in this video would be so cool to be apart of! Lucky employees you have. And congrats on your new baby! Looks like on top of everything you're a great family man!

We need more people in the world like you, so keep doing what you're doing. Congrats on your thriving business, your 100,000 subs and the baby on the way. Just remember, "Jack" is a great name!

Congratulations! I just learned about your channel within the past couple of months, and your formula just plain works. You keep it simple, you keep it interesting, and your love for cars and engines comes through the screen beautifully. When I was a 21 year old kid, uh, some time ago, I worked as a parts driver for my local full service salvage yard. I stayed in that job for about 18 months until I found one in my career path of being a software developer. It is perhaps the job I look back on with the most fondness, as I do love cars and salvage yards and getting my hands dirty. If I could go back to those days I would gladly come to work for you and help you sell parts online, but alas, I'll just have to experience it through the story you're telling on KZread. Keep it up, it's great stuff to watch, and congratulations on a successful channel, business, and growing family.

definitely one of my favourite channels to watch man, thanks for taking us along as you do teardowns and projects, I look forward to the weekly vids - just watching the teardowns is both informative and relaxing, but I've really come to appreciate what you do, and moreso HOW you do it. Not overly hyped or in your face, just chill and to the point, but the humour is perfect in line with what I tend to appreciate. I am glad to see how much your channel has grown, and I can't wait to see where it goes in the coming years

I must say, I expected your shop and your business to be much smaller than it is. It is exponentially LARGER than I believed and to say the least, with rhe amount of work you do, I'm amazed you have time for making KZread videos. But I do appreciate the time you put into it and that I can wait for the next teardown.

I don't know where I ran across your channel, but I stayed because I love seeing the carnage left behind when people murder their car engines, and you crack me up with your hilarious characterizations (user-added inspection port, variable compression cylinders, etc.) of the damage along the way. I've also learned a lot about the inner working of modern car engines, and what mechanics are talking when they say [x] is wrong with your car.

I worked for a large marina forty years ago, and some fool forgot to order the new boats to be winterized. We had about 25 small blocks freeze and crack! The insurance company paid for replacement bare blocks, plus labor and gaskets. I got very, very good at disassembling and reassembling small blocks. In two weeks we had them all fixed. And winterized. Nice to meet your growing family, congrats on 100K!

Congrats Eric, on the channel's 100k subs. But more importantly on your second the little one. You have a beautiful wife and little one. Your channel has grown because you hit a niche within the youtube community. Your channel showcases what the inside of engines look like after you've torn them down. It's really cool to see you tearing down engines. Most of us don't get to see that. Plus your sense of humor is a great bonus. Keep up the good work. BUT please, just once say debris with the strong S, just to piss some people off. You do deserve it. You seem like a genuinely cool guy with some good skills on tearing stuff apart... and buying more cars than you need. HAHAHA!

Those heads are what we called "Heavy Heads" - They are easy to ID by the strait line casting along the bottom side of the head from front to the back - The lower casting on the lighter heads bump in and out about 3/8 of a inch towards the valves making them more acceptable to cracking - And back then those cam shafts were known to be soft - great channel

I got a chuckle when I saw the camshaft and lifters! For some reason Chevrolet's are notorious for lifter and camshaft wear. Back in the day I can't tell you how many tear downs I did where cam lobs looked like poorly ground bearing journals. I used to replace them with Crane, Isky, or Crower cams and lifters and never looked back.

I'm so happy and excited to see how far this channel has come since I first discovered it and started waiting for videos to come out. I've watched so many teardowns at work, when I get home, on the weekend when I get to relax. This is one of my favorite channels to watch being so into cars myself and learning more about platforms I've never known much about, learning from you. You deserve everything that has come from your efforts to keep this channel growing and I hope it only goes further from here. Keep up all the amazing work, bad puns, unorthodox methods of tearing down engines. And congrats on the baby most of all!
