+DeeEll1 Well, if you know anything about video games, or even how computer programming in general works, that is rather obvious; however, how exactly the mechanisms and glitches are affecting the way that objects spawn--and more importantly *which* glitches affect the memory and spawning of *which* objects--would be great commentary. I'm not at all saying you're wrong, I think that most people understand what you have said, but don't quite understand how these glitches and exactly what compounds upon each other to achieve the desired effect of limiting the memory of the game to prevent the spawning of a coin.

Bubbleworld Too bad he couldn't access blue luigi. To get blue luigi you need to have super smash bros and have mario fall off cool cool mountain along with the orphan penguin. Switch the cartridge to super smash bros before you fall down and you will access a secret test level in super smash bros with, you guessed it, mario. It's literally just a slope. After 42 minutes you will see a penguin suddenly appear. You now need to switch to pokemon stadium. You should see a pikablu. After that, run pokemon red on the pokemon stadium cartridge, and there should still be a pikablu. Go through the game with only the pikablu and make your pikablu's HP equal to 77. Then, you need to boot up super mario 64. Depending on the attack stat of your pikablu, you will have to wait up to 5 seconds for the game to work properly. You will have an amount of stars equal to the defense stat of your pikablu. You will access a secret S.S. Anne level. Glitch below the truck, and boot up pokemon stadium again. Your pikablu will still be named pikablu but it's a mew in disguise. Now, take the pokemon stadium cartridge and put it in an NES. Then, switch it for super mario bros. You will be in world 9-7. Die, and you will become luigi. You have to activate a specific block in order to change luigi's color to blue. Complete the level, quicly remove it and put it into the N64, quickly remove it again, and switch for banjo-kazooie. You will have access to the ice key. Stop and swop with donkey kong 64. It will lead you to a different room than it originally would, and secretly transports the blue luigi color palette to super mario 64. Switch with super mario 64. To activate the color palette, you have to reset the game on the same frame you get burned by fire. Pausing the game on the same frame you get burned by fire doesn't work, because the game registers the paused state and the color palette gets set to all zero.

Nope. Description says that the spot where you can collect the Secret is covered by the coin in the middle and the upper coin of the ring. Theres no spot at all where you can collect the secret and NOT collect the coins. Unless you move the coins with cloning.

AMidgetWalrus There are no coin glitches in BOB, but I think in the Japanese version you can collect 65536 coins, and as far as the game is concerned, you've collected 0 coins.

Yeah, just get the 5 coins is so hard, piece of cake do this another way!

That last goomba on the ground JUST to be able to bounce off of it was, oddly, the most insane thing in the video for me. The fact that he not only did this huge thing, but did this one thing you totally don't even notice, which ends up being so small anyway, but gets it done. Like the scuttlebug in the .5 A presses video. I completely forgot about it, and then in the end, it's used for ONE jump, but it's impossible to do without.

18:30 - man, that setup was a rollercoaster-trip... First, i see Mario humbly offer ChainChomp a corkbox gift, which Chompy is obviously ecstatic about receiving (it jumps straight up in the air with joy!) later on, i see a Goomba in the place of where the corkbox was given-- i mean, who doesnt like Opening presents? but then when it was time for everything to line up and come together, i realized WHY Mario set up a Goomba Gift right next to ChainChomp's post-- Mario just needed a lil cushy for his tushy after falling from the "Secret" coinrings... ...pannenkoek had it planned all along to include a 'landing mat', placed EXACTLY where hed drop...

The cool thing about this is, having watched several of your videos, I was able to guess a lot of what you were doing going in. That is to say that your videos apparently stuck with me enough that I learned a thing or two about how the game works.

I love these. Its so cool seeing something so complex be done even if it adds no practical value to my life, it brought me joy and 20 minutes of fun.

("snowman's lost his head" isn't possible...) i tried it so hard myself, but i wasn't able to do the 3 glitches at once... blind... since i could not see which clone i was holding while head-in-hand, i wasn't able to perform the whole glitch properly...and so on... (your cheat codes helped you a lot, i suppose) again a huge thank you for making this incredible video!!! it is also an honor for me that you mentioned me in the description^^ ps: in exchange i watched and liked ALL your videos ;)

Wait so why isn't snowman's lost his head possible? Let's see if I can do the math for stars that require coins: 15 courses of red coins, 15 courses of 100 coin stars, 3 Bowser levels of red coins, 3 cap courses of red coins, wing mario over the rainbow red coins, and secret aquarium red coins. That makes 38, and so at most there are 120 - 38 = 82 possible coinless stars. So which others are not possible coinless? Edit: Nevermind, I see 1337gameplayz's comment below!

How pannenkoek makes videos: 1. Create a clone 2. Go near an old video so that it loads 3. Release the video clone 4. Repeat

yknow, the funny thing is, this looks a lot like how i played when i was a kid...the difference is, my 'random' combo of Jumps, Kicks, and a whole lotta WingCap-Music was just me Having Fun with the game (like TripleJump-Dives, Backwards Long Jumps, Hat-in-Handing, etc)-- i never knew that with a bit more Precision, i couldve completely broken it...

I'm also surprised you took the time to make a tas of this. You are amazing man.

If there's anything I've learned from this channel, it's that Mario is capable of bending space and time and that we're right to fear him.

GoombaHeart The secret's hitbox completely coincides with the hitbox of the center and upper coins, as evidenced in this video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/emqAl9Sppareiaw.html. It is true that you can only collect one coin per frame, and so if two coins had the same hitbox, you could collect only one of them by moving fast enough to only be in their hitbox for one frame. However, this does NOT apply to coins and secrets. You can collect both a coin and a secret on the same frame.

This is one of your most impressive videos for me ignoring PUs videos I have been an avid sm64 player for several years having gone to large extents exploring glitches and speed running, the uber challenge challenge was a fav of mine... I decided to do the A button challenge myself non tas of course and browsed KZread for some help thinking noone still played the game and to my shock the extents to which you have explored this game is incredible and inspirational. Is there any way to contact you for further discussion about a variety of aspects of the game that would interest both parties?
