I literally picked up a crochet hook yesterday and I immediately jumped into amigurumi but I was stuck on only doing a slip knot to begin and I was trying soo hard to get the magic circle. That is until I saw this video. I got it first try.

Just one quick suggestion though, to better help you audio please add pop filters and lower the sentisitivity, this will make your voice hopefully come out more clear and higher quality and a little less distracting. Great video, I'm not a crocheter but I'll keep this in mind for when my time comes to add another hobby to the list lol! ❤️

Are there pop filters for iPhones? I can’t afford a camera atm so I use my iPhone for everything and I did get a mic for it once and the audio came out worse imo haha

@@themaryjay you know i got curious and i checked on Amazon, turns out there are lol, you probably just have to put in your specific phone. It's up to you though, sorry the mic didn't work out. Ps, this did help me try crochet for the first time, Its Abit of a rough start but thanks for helping me get started!

Does it say 6 SC in a MR? If so that means you make 6 single crochets in the magic circle. Or 4 if it says 4. So you would start the magic circle just like this and then make the number of stitches they tell you to in it.

If you mean making single crochets in the magic circle, I would suggest looking at any of my plushie tutorials (except the narwhal one) and it'll show you the next step after the magic circle! But basically you just insert your hook into the circle (going over both strings of yarn) and make a single crochet like you would in a chain but you do this as many times as the pattern calls for and then pull on the yarn tail to close it up.

this video makes so much sense than the others i've seen, but i still can't get the second loop through the first loop (4:14). idk if my loop is too small, or i'm just dumb, but it's driving me crazy

Try tilting the hook a bit at an angle! Sometimes it gets snagged for me too until I tilt my hook

If I use a hook size up or down, will that ruin the look of a plushie with this size yarn?

For some reason everytime I try to pull it closed it doesn’t close😭. Any tips on why or how to make it close? I’ve already been doing it rly loose.

I bought a crotchet kit but the tutorial was in Chinese so I found this one and couldn’t do the magic circle and it’s still not working. My hook keeps on getting disconnecting from the hook and im finding it still super tricky 😢

I followed it but when I crochet into it I get one loop on my hook instead of 2
