    SNS literally took the W. kettle we all have and made it much,much better. The Slow and Sear itself is a game changer for grilling and this is just a much better kettle setup with about everything you would want. Everything is thought out here and based on real world grilling/smoking. This the 2020 kettle to buy. Really impressed with this company SNS - thanks for making this video too.

    I used my EasySpin grate in 3 cooks, and on the third one I noticed the welding on one of the rods had come loose when I tried to insert my thermometer clip. Shit happens, I'm not blaming them for it. So I contacted them and put in a warranty claim. Sent them a picture of the loose rod, and I received a new EasySpin grate with a FedEx return label literally the next day. Excellent customer service.

    FINALLY, FINALLY someone gives an explanation of the orientation of the SNS to the Lid Vent to the Temp Sensor Wire(s) Port Hole to the Smoke Hole. Each element can effect the results of the cook. Good info to know when setting up a Weber Kettle w/ a SNS. THANK YOU Justin

    Ive been using a 22 and 26 inch kettle for about 20 years. These are some excellent improvements and shockingly the price is not to bad at $365. I don't think I'll trade in my Weber just yet but congrats on making what looks to be a highly improved version of what was already the best charcoal grill IMO.

    purchased this grill as a mothers day gift for my wife back when baby back mania posted the video. we've been using it for over a week and we absolutely love it. This is our first grill ever and we've been using the heck out of it. Has anyone found a cover that fits over it? we purchased a 26 inch cover and its just a bit too small. Big thanks for baby back mania for putting my on to this grill

    We all thought that the Weber kettle grill was hard to beat, but the Slow & Sear grill, is on another level and much improved. Not sure how much more it costs, but the advanced design appears superior to even the new Webers'. Great video! Thanks! Now if they only had one mounted in a stainless steel cooking table, on caster wheels, with a mini sink! 🤔

    Just ordered mine. It will replace my Weber kettle from the 80s. I got it from my parents who’d been using it since their wedding. This sns kettle is going to be a huge upgrade.

    I'm in the same boat, kind of. What I really want is a kamado; I'm teetering on talking myself into buying a Komodo Kamado next year, but I may decide not to spring for one and just get a regular one, in which case I'd probably lean toward the Blaze or Kamado Joe. That said, if I didn't already have a Weber kettle, I'd buy this one for the probe and fan ports alone. I also absolutely hate the ash basket release mechanism on the Weber, and this one looks so easy.

    Daniel Moore It's on the list of those I'd consider if I don't get a KK. The cheap price makes it attractive, but the KK is simply unmatched in terms of capacity and build quality with the 32" / 42" models providing true two zone cooking with very large zones, the Blaze is virtually indestructible, the Kamado Joe is the accessory king with that three tier rack system that all connects together so it can be lifted out at once, etc. I'm considering picking up the SnS Kettle in the mean time just because I'm doing ribs on the Weber kettle with the Slow n Sear today, and my damper blades are so warped that even with the bottom vent fully closed it's sitting around 252 by my grate probe, and the high was 321.2, average 270.7. We need a new roof on the house this year so I can't afford the expense of a Kamado until next year. If I get the KK, that goes up many times over depending on which size KK I get, but that's the kind of thing my grandkids would fight over, assuming I ever have kids. I'm 34 so I kind of think I've missed my relationship window, as any woman remotely close to my age in this area is either married already or there's probably a good reason she isn't.

    Hey Justin ( I mean Jason), Great Video! Everything you mentioned on the SNS grill, such as the probe port and the additional vent on the underside, I had to retrofit on my Weber. It would have been nice to get all those add-ons prior to purchase. One last thing, where's your Baby Back Maniac t shirt? Any way, great description of the new SNS Grill.

    Here’s a subtle tip, with the handle for the ash sweeper vertical, it sort of nests down into place. If you turn it 90 degrees so the handle is horizontal, it doesn’t drag against the bottom of the kettle.

    I envy you, Justin. This is second grill this week I've chose to be my new grill, just to find out it's "impossible" to buy it. I live in Europe and I can't buy it here. So I've checked sns' shop, but shipping ($290) plus customs (21%) would be extra $439 = $854 total. That's more than 2 WMT grills I can buy localy. SNS kettle looks really nice, thermometer on right place, nice grate, port for probes, 4 legs,... such a pitty

    Do you ever use a cast iron grate on top to sear steaks?

  • @SnSGrills

    @SnSGrills

    3 жыл бұрын

    Hi Jim, I've done it but I don't prefer it. It's really hard to appreciate how hot the Slow 'N sear gets until you use it. You actually get a better sear without cast iron because the radiant heat gets well over 1000 degrees. Which is not only hot enough to sear a steak but burns off all the seasoning on the cast iron. Thanks for watching.
