In the original source material, Rimuru stayed by the deads side for 3 days. The scene here where Rimuru is begging Great Sage for answers is truly heart breaking.

that's probably why Great Sage desperately and stubbornly attempted evolving 100s of times... because he/she realised that he/she wasn't strong enough to help his/her master

@@deinonychus1948 Just a clarification, Great Sage tried to upgrade MILLIONS of times, possibly BILLIONS. But yes, for that exact reason, Great Sage felt shame for all the times that it could not help it's master effectively, including when it lost to the Orc Lord, it felt, yes, it felt, great shame for that loss.

It was a really nice reflection of Rimuru's own grief too tbh. "I can't cry, I guess I really have become a monster." -No, you're just struggling to internalize what is happening and rationalizing. Gobta is more monster than he will ever be and he can cry, there's no reason Rimuru is becoming more like a monster because he *cant*

Man, Gobta’s guttural scream when he sees Gobzo was sooo well done, the VA ripped up their throat for that one 😭

Japanese VA's truly respect their work more than western VA's I think... I don't think I've heard better than scenes like this, or a moment in "Made in Abyss" that I won't spoil.

Seeing Shion like that always gives me emotions. I still tear up watching it.

Rimuru has a bad habit of not listening to the warnings from the people around him if he thinks he has the situation figured out already.

Gobta's scream and cry kills me everytime! And Rimuru talking with Great Sage hurts as well. The fact that he stood there for 3 days just grieving hurts too!

Jami: Rimuru wouldn't do that Me: give it couple more episodes and fear the raindrops 🤣

It's an emotional rollercoaster for sure. I feel happy when Rimuru survived, nervous when he came back home. Sad when he found out about the townspeople. Happy again when Hakuro and Gobta was healed. Sad and angry when Rimuru found out Shion and Gobzo died. Hopeful when Rimuru found out there's a chance they could be revived. Nervous when Rimuru smirked when he found out he could consume 20,000 human souls. Sad when he sort of killed Mjurran for a sec. Then happy again. But the majority, there's always sadness. Who won't be when you saw those beautiful souls killed when all they had done was to welcome humans. Now, Rimuru had changed into someone cautious around humans too.

Watch "to your Eternity" that IS an emotional Rollercoaster.

gobutas scream is one of (if not the) best acted sadness i have seen. you can really feel loss and despair in it.

Gobta's scream in this episode always hits me

Now....THIS was a Jami reaction! Her energy, her emotions, her empathy, her humour. Nice to see. This is one of the most intense, immersive, epic episodes of Tensura. As a big drama anime fan, this section of season 2 is Roxy-tier entertainment.

Not spoiler. But one thing I love about the Milim story is that Ramiris is on it and we dont even realize.

"such a lightheearted anime" "a fun anime" "a "konosuba" anime" Well.... That escalated quickly. The next few episodes are just satisfying to watch.

Why tho there's literally no consequences?

Every damn time. Gobzo gets me started but then shion just sets off the tears. Lmao. This is the first time I've seen this scene and not shed a tear

Episode 8 of Season 2 was THE episode in why I was saying to keep your emotions in check since it will literally tear you apart and witnessing your reaction it is exactly how I felt when the episode first aired and I was feeling conflicted at the time about dropping the show or continue on but in the end I stayed and the show is going to get so much more exciting to watch and I can't wait for your next Slime reactions.

I legit cried when i saw this the first time. I started before you did xD. As soon as i saw tempest in that horrible state. When i saw shion there i lost my damn mind.

I knew this would happen. I feel ya Jami. We all do. We all hate Falmuth.

Literally had tears in my eyes especially aftr seeing shion like that ...this show made me cry , couldn't believe that ...the busted emotions were off-charts durin tgis ep ..tbh i would hav destroyed myulan and then the whole falmuth's army all by myself if i were rimuru ...bt revenge was also gr8 so no prblm

Ep 8 was really emotional. Especially, when rimuru’s asking himself and great sage couldn’t answer anything.

Why am I happy seeing you cry? Coz I know you did appreciate and enjoy Slime, and I thank you for that. You see Slime was my 2nd favorite anime next to One Piece 🙂

This is the emotional rollercoaster I have been waiting for.

its always the best when a show rips your heart out

i have watched this anime so many times i just about got it all memorized word for word and no matter how many times i see this seen it just breaks me up. every damn time. the VA's and the animator's did an absolutely fabulous jb of humanizing the characters of this shows. Shion has always been a personal fave character of mine so it really tore me up first time i seen it. And Gobto's VA just accentuated it even more so.

For the record it was not absolute that only 10k souls are needed it was the minimum requirement... So u can have as many souls as u want it doesn't matter bt should be =or> 10000
