For anyone confused: Milim is worshipped as a god by the Dragon Faithful, and they consider anything produced in her lands as sacred so they don't cook it. Milim has been eating boiled meat and raw veggies her whole life, which is why the most powerful being (Milim) treasures her meals from Tempest so much. That one lunch she may have lost is the only flavorful thing she's savored in several millennia. Rimuru taking it away inadvertently set off her "Stampede/Destroyer" skill. It's likely she would've massacred/destroyed the world until she was given a delicious meal.

To be fair, her past is pretty traumatic. I wouldn't be surprised that even despite all the years shes been alive, and all the power she has amassed, she still have good old coping mechanisms that regress her into a child. Or something or other.

In actuality, Millim really tried to hold back because if she didn’t then Phobio would have has his blood splatter on the pavement

Put this into perspective; earlier when the explosion happened, it was a serious moment. But, when we saw why the explosion happened, it turned into a funny moment.

I hope Slime Diaries gets a dub soon. I love this show.

Well, given what's going to happen in the future, I think it's safe to say that this isn't far off the mark.

I Absolutely Love and Adore this Anime SO much from Funimation! I bet Brittney Karbowski have fun Voicing as Rimuru Tempest in this Anime!

I probably would have thanked Milim for standing up for Rigurd. Phobio had no justification for hitting Rigurd so he should have been wrecked.

As much as I do agree Millm was in the right decking that guy for what he did, there are litterally a thousand ways they could have resolved that more peacefully, plus its better to put such impulsive behavior like that in check there and then before it becomes a habit, thus leading to bigger headaches down the line. All that said , are we not gonna talk about how slick Souei appeared to give Rimuru the 411?

i did that to my leg and my friend did that to his arm when we were allowed to go out and explore a bit, we climbed trees, climbed a random rock, biked a bunch and skateboarded, the time we got injured was when we accidentally tripped on a rock, my friend fell by the tree scratching his arm, and me laughing my ass off walking towards him also tripped and scraped my leg at the same tree both of us laughing our asses of after while walking back into our home helping each other walk to my house at dark as my mom saw us and patched me and him up, we then just played video games till the next day, man memories.

I'd have praised Millim in that situation.

I feel like Milim and Nazuna from Unlimited Gacha would get along real well. Both are very very powerful. Nazuna is a level 9999 swords woman. But can't control her strength. Much like Milim. You get those two in a room together and just take cover! BC THEYRE GONNA UNINTENTIONALLY START WRECKING SHIT!

*This* is why I watch the dubs. I've seen this scene in both the original Japanese and the dub and the English VAs just seem to put so much more heart and soul into the characters! The Japanese version just sounds like a read though of the screen play; some emotion, but they're not really 'in character' while the English VAs are really trying to make you feel like you're watching the lives of these fictional characters and not just, "Hey that's Molly Mue and Joe Shmoe reading their respective characters' lines.

Its a difference in how the languages use inflections and vocal pitches. Most English speakers like to listen to media in there native language that's why Japanese companies license Anime with a requirement to commission a dub.

This clip annoys me to no end. When Milim is swinging her arms she is saying it's safe and Rimuru says out. They both say these words in English (albeit broken English) and it's a baseball reference which most people in the world would understand. So why on gods green earth did they translate it to something completely different when there was no translation required in the first place. That's some 4Kidstv shit right there.

She coulda thumped him and it still woulda been bad….

Rimuru is jerk... I suppose that was the reason why Shion was killed in the first place.

Rimuru was justified in his decision. He’s publicly allied with milim and he’s a nations leader. For all he knows this could cause a massive war between milim and the forest vs another demon lord. Rimuru doesn’t know the power levels of the other demon lords.

Like here for eg- he can clearly see that this 3 people came for trouble beat up a citizen of his until his nothing left of his face, if weren't for milim i think that Goblin Lord would get killed, still instead of thanking her he said why are you causing trouble again? And even have here punishment?I can't stand the goody two-shoes MC with his weakness against women trope. He's practically a god, yet he still engages in comedic relief with the gals (Shion, the princess, and Hinata). Plus, all the female monsters conveniently evolve into sexy humanoids, like the lizard girl, beast girl, and goblin. And what's with the lack of punishment for Rimuru's enemies, especially the cute girls? Hinata barely gets a slap on the wrist after attempting to off Rimuru (yes, I know she's been manipulated by higher-ups). Then there's Glenda or whoever with the gun, the chick who weakened the barrier leading to the Tempest massacre (controlled by another demon lord), and the Falmus king only loses a hand. The bottom line is, Rimuru runs the nation. Any attempt on his life should be treated as an act of war, regardless of the perpetrators' cuteness. This novel seriously lacks consequences.

The other worlders who attacked tempest where all killed and/or beaten, the demon lord who was controlling the magic born was beaten and tortured by Rimuru personally, the king and his associates where brutally disfigured and tortured by shion and THEN FORCED TO WORK UNDER DIABLO TO BASICALLY DESTROY THEIR OWN KINGDOM AND PROFIT FROM IT. And Rimuru’s nation suffered zero casualties(rimuru revived them all), all of its citizens only got more powerful as a result, and it lead to their leader becoming a true demon lord and employing a true dragon AND A PRIMORDIAL DEMON. NO CONSEQUENCES?

also@@ishangimhan6112 if you check gobtas crying when gobso died after the human raid happened, the dub cry sounds too forced check it, you'll notice the difference and you'll also know that japanese was really even better on that scene

1:57 With all due respect to the translators, they are literally doing a baseball reference here. If I remember correctly, they say “safe, safe” and “out.” Why would you need to change the words here? They are speaking English and referencing a well known sport.
